Lorna Shores most Recent Album, "I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me" released almost three months ago. I've had no small number of people ask me to do an in depth album review and I wasn't sure if it was the right move. Lorna Shore is one of the forefront, if not THE forefront deathcore band at the moment. I waited so long to do this first-time listen and album review because as someone who is fairly neutral on the band, I wanted to give it as honest and clear minded of a review as possible. So I avoided all reviews of the album. I didn't read any Reddit posts about it or Lorna Shore as a whole. I kept every outside opinion at bay and I went back and listened to everything Lorna Shore has released since Will join the band. It's easy to become jaded when you read other people's opinions, and I wanted to make sure that I was delivering as genuine responses I could. The video is over two hours long, yes, but I think for those who give it the time it will be worth it. I give commentary on themes, lyrics, songwriting, and looking at the album as a whole while unpacking what it's trying to do.
