Following the removal of the grenade system from Team Fortress 2 in early to mid-2007, the specifics of which we discussed in the last episode, the TF team made attempts to reuse the hundreds of hours of work that went into the initial implementation and expand specifics into their own unique weapons. It failed. It was then attempted again a few months later. It failed. The concept of throwable weapons eventually made its way to the public experience through Jarate, however, it was preceded and preceded by dozens of prototypes and concepts. Everything you are about to see is real, written by the Team Fortress team, yet left on the cutting room floor between the years of 2008 and 2013. This is, Team Fortress 2’s Cut Content Episode 5, A F***ing Brick (and other unused throwables).
