As a first or even second generation immigrant student, you might be the first one in your family to navigate how to get a job in America right after receiving your degree, and there’s no one to show you the ropes on how to overcome feeling lost after college. We had Gabe, a college student interested in pursuing marketing, and Sweeney Mae, a Marketing Development Manager, be interviewed separately on questions about going to college as a Filipino American and exploring marketing jobs as an immigrant student. Afterwards, we sat them in the sala and had them talk out their answers, exchange advice, and relate to each other on a professional and personal level.
Mcdonald’s APA Next is a platform that provides educational tools, scholarships, and resources for Asian American college students and their families. If you’d like more information and resources, visit APA Next at bit.ly/apanext2
