Douglas Hamp Ministries | A DISCUSSION without division on the shape of the earth and the heavens @Doughamp | Uploaded January 2024 | Updated October 2024, 14 hours ago.
Join myself and my friend and brother Jon Pounders as we have a friendly discussion on …. the shape of the earth and the heavens that Yeshya/Jesus created “in the beginning.”
The picture of a pretzel shaped earth is NOT meant to mock or scoff at those who believe in either a “flat” earth or a “sphere.”. Whether pretzel, cubed, plate shaped, pyramid, the picture does convey my “firmament” stance on this topic of being able to discuss without DIVIDING!.
My discussion with Jon will NOT be a debate NOR will any listener “hear” any fireworks like the train wreck that occurred last month on this topic. I have no doubt we will discuss the firmament, the earth being unmoved and even the passage in Job that mentions clay, a seal and “turning.”
If you know me, I am an advocate for THE Truth (Yeshua AND His Law), the Way (it did not change) which leads to …. Life. I 100% will “throw down” against macroevolutionary nonsense, the “alien deception” AND the denial of the past flood/judgment. However, did Peter ever warn the early ekklesia about a deception in the latter times regarding the shape of the earth?
Can we have unity and “be one” without uniformity?
Must we all align and be in 100% agreement on (1) how YHWH is pronounced; (2) exactly when Passover and the other feasts are observed; (3) when a “day” starts and … (4) even the shape of the earth and heavens?
Although these topics are no doubt important, when they lead to division, should we not ask ourselves whether the Word of God made flesh EVER taught a gospel of pronunciations, dates and shapes? In the gospels, are these topics ever even mentioned?
In contrast, what did Yeshua actually state how the world would know His disciples?
John 17:20-21 KJV
[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; [21] that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
John 13:35 KJV
[35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Matthew 28:20 KJV
[20] teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
