How To Create A Digital Will For Your iCloud Data - Including Photos, Documents, and More!!!
We all know the importance of having a will. That way when you pass away, there is a plan in place for what to do with your stuff. But what about your DIGITAL STUFF???
Apple recently introduced a new feature called a Legacy Contact, which is available on all iPhones and iPads running iOS 15.2 or later. This allows you to designate one or more people to inherit certain aspects of your digital life upon your passing. Legacy contacts can access all files in iCloud drive, your Photo Library, iMessage, Notes, Contacts, and Calendars. In order to gain access to that data, they must BOTH be registered as a legacy contact and be able to provide a death certificate.
If someone has recently named you as a legacy contact and then passed away, you can begin the process by visiting digital-legacy.apple.com
