Gastunk was an influential and pioneering band within the ‘80s Japanese underground. Initially debuting as a hardcore punk band, Gastunk’s skilled members were always one step ahead of their contemporaries, blurring genre lines and exploring a variety of styles and sounds: heavy metal, progressive rock, eight-minute ballads, goth, reggae, and everything in between.
Join us as we chronologically recount and pay tribute to Gastunk’s expansive discography, while also touching on selected solo work for each storied ex-member: Baki, Baby, Tatsu, Matsumura, and Pazz.
