A railtour on a summer Saturday to the seaside, sounds good in practice but we took 8.5 hours to get there (we went the long way) and as the tour featured Mk2 coaches it wasn’t as much fun as usual (no opening windows so no locomotive noise) we were scheduled 2.5 hours in Skegness (I personally didn’t think much of the town but each to their own) we then ended up being stuck on the station over an hour after our departure time due to points failure at Skegness, I ended up ending the tour 1.5 hours late and after locomotive and time issues the tour was capped at Crewe not Manchester meaning some people had to get home on service trains.
Why do I do this to myself?
Because I love it!
Memories of my teenage years and it’s one of the few things me and Liam do together.
Much beer was drunk and much fun was had.
Looking forward to the next one.
