Hello and welcome to a brand new series "A Critique of...." in which I attempt some in-depth video game analysis tackling anything from story to lighting.

I have opened with Resident Evil 7 because I feel this game has managed to get past many if not all reviewers with flying colours. The game is being looked at as a return to the roots of its series.

I think it is far more complicated than that, so follow me on a journey in which I discover some missed truths about the game itself based on an in-depth look. Let me know what you think :)
