In this video, I make an Edwardian s-bend corset out of a single layer of taffeta. I remake the atelier sylphie corset ref W changing the proportions to work on my much more curvy body and go through some of the differences between modern and historic corsetry and talk about the resulting misconception that corsetry would need to be heavy and rigid in order to reduce the waist and give and hold up that hourglass silhouette.
