AD invited Sameep Padora of sP+a to present a contemporary reimagination of the tented textile architecture of the “Lal Dera” or Red Tent of Jodhpur. Belonging to the Mughal Era, the original still lies in the Mehrangarh Museum. The grand concept carved out a rather intimate space for talks and sessions, while speaking of luxury, materiality and counterintuitively, impermanence.
