Tengu Village is a special place, it resides many Yokai ( known as demon or monster in Japanese language ). The village is alreadyruined by the most powerful being in the village, the tengu. Tengu claims he did not know he is damaging the village by him simply playing a sport he loves. Some islanders would say the village is dangerous and no one dares to step in. Besides tengu, you can find some Inaris, Amefuri Kozo and a trickster Octopus that linked to the Kijimunas. Interestingly all the current residents are some form
of Yokai, you can barely sees any human. By the way, human in champion island is also a mystery, which will be cover in future chapters.
There is a hidden table tennis challenge that only shows up after you light up 4 torches. The whole process looks like a ritual,
giving more spooky vibe towards the village. And most of the houses looks destroyed with little to none furniture inside. It's like
it's already been abandoned since long ago. Which makes me think maybe there are no residents besides Inaris, and maybe the whole
village is full of Inari which is a fox yokai, that perhaps they can become invisible like some other fox in the island.
Champion Island Deep Dive is a mini series of deep dive into the lore of champion island, here we discover and theorize about anything everything.
The game seems simple but I assure you there are so much more to discover if you look deep enough.
