Skallagrim | A Claymore with Battle Damage and Other Arms & Armor at the ROM @Skallagrim | Uploaded 2 weeks ago | Updated 1 hour ago
My trip to the Royal Ontario Museum was great, definitely recommended (NOT sponsored by the way):
rom.on.ca/en
Part 1 (indigenous arms & armor): youtu.be/JagyIrVpbvE
This is part 2 of the museum walk, where I show you bronze swords, spear heads, and a helmet from antiquity, as well as medieval & renaissance arms and armor. Including a fascinating example of very obvious edge damage from blade-on-blade contact.
Other highlights are surprisingly small bronze spearheads, an Egyptian khopesh with well preseved handle, a pollaxe, longswords, and some beautiful basket-hilts.
