CLÄPP II came out of my own frustration with never quite finding the right clap. I wanted something that could move between the feel of real human clapping and the character of classic machine claps, without being stuck with the limitations of samples.
So CLÄPP II uses no samples at all. It generates its sounds entirely through synthesis.
In Human Mode, each clap is slightly different, just like real people clapping. You get natural variation, movement, and that subtle unpredictability that helps a groove feel alive.
In Machine Mode, CLÄPP II shifts into a more classic electronic character, inspired by the clap sounds of 80s drum machines — tighter, punchier, and more controlled.
I made it for producers who want more than a fixed one-shot: something flexible, playable, and capable of both human feel and synthetic precision inside Ableton Live.

It was an unbelievable honour to host this jam. In a mad little underground bar in London, Harry Mack came n jammed with me and it got deep.
