Merry Christmas!
I’m surprised no one has attempted this before. Here’s both of the original 1965 commercials for the special restored as much as possible.
I left alone any original elements that I couldn’t replicate such as the CBS logo zoom, text, and the brief alternate shot of Linus hitting a “Danger!” sign instead of the Coca Cola one.
Footage of Charlie Brown playing the piano and most of the second commercial come from the unaired 1963 documentary “A Boy Named Charlie Brown” (not to be confused with the film of the same name).
The photo of Frieda I cannot seem to find however and the photos used in the actual commercial are zoomed in more and have Shulz’s signature, otherwise they are virtually identical.
