2025 marks the centennial of Art Deco, following the first exhibition, “Exposition internationale des artes décoratfs et industriels moderne” held in Paris in 1925. To celebrate this movement, this panel will examine the movement’s lasting influence on contemporary design. Art Deco, once a symbol of modernity and elegance in the early 20th century, continues to captivate and inspire the design world today. The distinctive aesthetics, from geometric patterns to luxurious materials, have experienced a revival—as per the leading example in popularity of the Tiffany lamps—influencing a new generation of designers and artists.
