In this review, I look at the Exploter ApplePie Touch CarPlay AI Box Adapter. You can buy this AI Box for $180 directly from Exploter website 👉🏻 bit.ly/applepietouchaibox.
TLDR: The Exploter AI-996T ApplePie Touch CarPlay AI Box brings Android 13 OS to vehicles with wired Apple CarPlay systems, featuring a 2.1” touchscreen display for added control. While innovative, the bulky design and limited utility of the touchscreen, which mainly assists with basic navigation, pose some drawbacks. It supports multimedia playback, HDMI output, and dual-band Wi-Fi with optional 4G, but suffers from slight audio delay and performance limitations in gaming. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connections are also slower than expected. Although competitively priced, better alternatives exist, especially for users who don’t need the extra screen or HDMI functionality.
