Griffin Hale, a former University of Utah student, created and completed an art installation focused on his late mother who had metastatic breast cancer. "The Caregiver's Window," located in the hills above Huntsman Cancer Institute, remained for just a few days, but the emotional impact may last a lifetime.

In Memoriam: Merica Hale passed in March 2022. We honor her memory and are grateful she shared her story. “The Caregiver’s Window” was completed the week of October 25, 2021. It remained for a few days, giving time for Griffin’s family and his university ceramics class to experience it. Special thanks to Huntsman Cancer Institute's Don Milligan, Alyson Harding, DJ Glade, and Shelley White for your support.
