Lovelygirliebits | A busy week with garden jobs, first strawberry harvest! @Lovelygirliebits | Uploaded June 2023 | Updated October 2024, 9 minutes ago.
This was a busy week in the garden with lots of jobs to tackle, and doing them in the heat was not as relaxing as usual! I tried to switch things up a bit for this week's video and film over a few days, but after hoping to tick a few jobs off the list on Wednesday, the heat of the sun defeated me, so I ended up being outside for hours on Thursday.
Mam and I also harvested our first batch of strawberries which were so sweet and juicy and there are still plenty to pick in the coming weeks as they ripen.
I gave my roses a good feed, did some weeding, planted out sunflowers and lavender as my ode to Provence and planted out more plants into the borders. I wonder if I'll ever be finished planting out everything! I finally placed my new stone birdbath (it's not actually new, I've had it for weeks now!) that I bought in the Arboretum Garden Centre and while that might not be its forever home, I think the birds will like it for now! And I hung up my decorative arch that I bought in the Kilkenny Architectural Salvage Yard. So lots of jobs ticked off the list!
I hope you have a wonderful week in the garden wherever you are!
