i couldn't physically do the end part because it goes faster and idk the tempo for it, same with the vocals, since they're hard to decipher with the instrumental, but i still tried so that counts-

basically the story here is that instead of sonic being like finn and wanting tails to join him to keep the promise he made, he straight up admits that hes failed, and the darkness, not letting him finish, proceeds to talk for him and make tails think that he wants to keep him safe still (ofc tails is not buying it)
but tails dies at the end of this "cover" anyway so really sonic failed at keeping tails safe, and now he has to live with that regret as he watches his friends and other bystanders fall to him
i might make a sonic and tails uncorrupted from another series though, don't count on it since i want the darkness (in this) to feel unescapable, you don't know who can be slipped from being alive to being a corrupted, jumbled mess
though, atleast sonic and tails are finally free, albeit both now mindless husks of what they once were, fused into one vessel for the darkness to control
what a sad end to a hero
