Ecologist Tim Henderson captured this footage at Newhaven (Ngalia-Warlpiri/Luritja Country) late last year, as ephemeral lakes and clay pans farewelled one of our wettest years on record.
He also captured footage of Australia’s rarest bird of prey – the Red Goshawk—learning to hunt among abundant prey. His records mark the first in Central Australia in 30 years, contributing meaningfully to our understanding of this endangered species’ habits.
