In 2024, the High Ambition Coalition (HAC) won The Earthshot Prize to Revive our Oceans. This year, they announced that the £1 million they were awarded has contributed to creating Ghana’s first ever Marine Protected Area (MPA).

This is absolutely huge for ocean conservation, and at the Earthshot Impact Assembly, HAC’s Rita el Zaghloul and Earthshot Ambassador Robert Irwin sat down to chat through the incredible impact this MPA will have for marine life, and to talk about HAC’s goals for the years ahead.
