Another X-Class flare has occurred on Dec. 1, leading to increased geomagnetic activity this week, prompting A G2 Geomagnetic Storm Watch. Even more interesting is the massive group of sunspots in the left limb of the sun unrelated to this, that could be turning into Earth's view over the next week, increasing the chance at an even stronger geomagnetic storm if a coronal mass ejection were to occur.
