STORYLINE:
A beloved New Orleans hospital building that has lain dormant and blighted since the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina is poised for redevelopment as a Tulane University medical research hub.
Over the summer, Tulane announced it is investing $500 million into the building to house its public health and medical programs alongside a program to boost entrepreneurship. Construction is expected to begin this fall.
