I have a big problem with falling in love with things before they are finished. For example, I was smitten with this background and didn't know what to add to it. I knew that anything I did would just ruin it, and I loved it so much I didn't want that to happen. I let the journal sit on my desk, open to the pages for at least a week before I finally decided I needed to let go of the perfection and just do something (luckily I have other journals to use when I'm so indecisive! lol).
I pulled out these flowers I had painted on book pages ages ago in a Jeanne Oliver class. They had been sitting on one of my shelves, not being used for anything because I loved them the way they were. That's what pushed me to use them - My love for the background, and my love for the flowers. Surely they would go well together!
At first, I wasn't sure, but the more I look at the spread, the more I love it.
