I think this is the first time Brushleap has appeared here what fun. Brush is Snow's mentor who in this scene saves him from getting murdered by a dark spirit 3 days into training.
Brush does not die here, but they do lose an eye. They take a break from mentor duties to recover before resuming as a highly chaotic mentor.
