A 38-year-old gunshot victim called for medical help Easter Sunday then refused to cooperate with investigators, according to Fresno police Lt. Stephen Viveros.

The man was taken to the hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the lower body. He is in stable condition.
The shooting happened just before noon at an apartment complex on Dakota, west of Palm. Multiple 911 callers told police they heard at least one gunshot.
