An accessible product is an accessible product but it’s not really an accessible product if the price isn’t accessible. Unfortunately, in the mainstream business world, you slap “accessibility” in any sense of the word on something and that ups the price more than it should (or at all) and we hate that enough already when that happens to products that are a real necessity. A mug? I mean, yes, you need something to put your drink in but not for $125AUD (which I believe is about $80USD, maybe).

Also, the person who talked about not realizing the price of the mug didn’t have anything bad to say about the product or the business. She didn’t even name the business. She just talked about an awkward situation. She wasn’t being mean to anyone.

“Like, I’m just gonna get it. Like, I was like, whatever, like, I’ll just get it.”

“So I just saw this video and-”

Now Rikki:
Okay, so, essentially that mug is $125AUD and the person who bought it didn’t realize it was that much and felt too awkward to change her mind. The shop owner was upset that she made commentary about that. Here’s my thing: she claimed that this mug was also made in mind for disabled people. You know, we have different accessibility needs with holding cups and that’s great. Except we don’t wanna pay $125AUD for that either. And I don’t like the excuse that you’re trying to use for it. I don’t like you trying to use us as an excuse. We already don’t like paying disability tax which makes everything more expensive the moment you attach “accessibility,” attached to it. It’s cute and you can price your stuff however you want. But we don’t wanna pay $125 for that either.
