It is a correct representation of a fourth spatial dimension.* Yeah it's actually "around" walls, not "through!"* There are *infinitely* many 3D worlds stacked on top of each other, even if in the introductory Wall Level the ground texture makes it seem like there are only two. Miegakure [Hide&Reveal] a true 4D puzzle-platforming game [mtbdesignworks {Miegakure, 4D Toys}] 2014-04-11 | Miegakure is a puzzle-platforming game that lets you explore and interact with a 4D world. The fourth dimension in this game is not time, it works just like the first three: it is a mathematical generalization. You see three dimensions at a time and at the press of a button one of the dimensions is exchanged with the fourth dimension, allowing for 4D movement. Your ability to move in the fourth dimension in addition to the usual three allows you to perform miraculous feats like walk through walls, see inside closed buildings, steal objects from closed containers, make object float in mid-air, bind two separate rings without breaking them, etc...These actual consequences of the mathematical formulation of 4D space have been imagined for more than a century (in the 1884 novella Flatland [http://www.geom.uiuc.edu/~banchoff/Flatland/] for example) but it is the first time anyone can actually perform them, thanks to the video game medium.I wanted to make a game that would take place in a universe that was a 4D extension of our regular 3D universe. What if the universe actually had four dimensions, but we didn't know it? The video features some of the visuals we obtain from what is basically the most advanced simulation of what a 4D world would look like.
