I'm also in the process of getting ready to go on a 4 day trip... and missing 3 days of school to go to a concert that's 3 hours away by flight }:D Yeah... I'm spoiled. I wanted to get this video done before I left in order to treat those of you who have been waiting! Thank you all so much for your support and patience!BUT ANYWAY, WEW, THIS THING IS FINALLY DONE.This video was a nice project to work on... until the render. Vegas never renders the little built-in stars right... and the subtle flashing effect around the edges and on various clips first rendered at like 500% the original brightness compared to what I had it set for, for whatever reason. It took many screenshots and render attempts to get everything to render closely to what I had originally created in the Vegas preview window. Ah, Vegas. I love you, but I hate you sometimes.... I also rendered in 35 Mbps, this file is quite huge. But my small border stars would mess up the quality on the clips underneath at the default Mbps setting... so let's hope YouTube doesn't screw with my quality :3I probably could have done better with some parts of the pan/crop, but it was actually really hard, I tried forever to get those right :C But the render time for the whole video was 2 hours and 19 minutes and I did that twice already D: This is a project that I wanted to get done for a long time, so I'm happy to have it finally completed! I ended up having to convert legit all of my movies TWICE, was quite a lengthy process. I'm actually not sure that I'm 100% happy with how my new HD footage looks quality-wise (especially since I took days to convert everything), I thought it would be better. I made sure that it wasn't the conversions that disrupted my quality, it must have been partly the fault of the original. Oh well, I'll figure that out in time. I've been working on and off on a lot of projects and haven't really been able to get in the groove on any particular one... THIS ONE, HOWEVER, is an exception. Luckily I didn't encounter editor's block at all for this edit and it was relatively smooth sailing. There was very little lag, if any at all, during the editing process, AND THIS PROJECT ONLY TOOK 10 MINUTES TO RENDER. That's like... the quickest I've ever been able to render ANYTHING, LOL. And for a project of this complexity, it's surprising.On a random side note, this is the first time I've used The Hunchback of Notre Dame in my edits! Esmerelda was a fantastic subject for this video, I just couldn't leave her out! On another side note... this edit basically consists of humans, dogs and cats.. with some birds. That's it. ✨ ℘a℘i 💖 animash ✨ BlackbuckTwilightify 2015-08-26 | MY FIRST VIDEO IN 60fps! To view it, change the quality to 720p60 :) The difference really shows with the rotating movements throughout the video!Okay, so this video was wonderful to edit UNTIL the rendering process. I rendered this about 10 times (each time took about an hour); the first times were for fine-tuning, but the others were from continuous rendering glitches and graphics card errors. I don't know where the graphics card error came from all of a sudden, but I was able to find a solution without having to decrease the quality of my final video. I guess with a new computer comes new challenges!Oh, I just got a new computer with 128GB of freaking RAM. That's right: 128!! This project started to have considerable lag on my previous PC about halfway through (even with 12GB RAM). Transferring this project to another computer took some work, but in the end, the extra RAM and CPU power really helped push this one along! It's great getting to edit without the kind of lag that makes you want to flip a desk over. With the number of layers that I usually had going at a time for this, it really helped a lot (although I didn't have to deal with nearly ANY text layers with this edit. That's one thing that makes this video unique from most of my other ones: close to no text. I let the clips do all of the talking instead!). Oh, and another thing that I noticed was that this render (even in 720p HD) was generally more pixely in the final result than I've experienced for my previous videos. Maybe it's hard to see on the YouTube player's HD, but it can be visible in especially colorful background frames. I'm not sure whether it's due to the clips that I used, my current graphics card on my new computer, or some Sony Vegas setting. My new computer came packed full with a lot of mysteries, I guess! I'll solve them all in time.And with that, I'm not really sure what else to say.
