This part features a lot of grinding. A lot!

This is a full playthrough of the RPG mode of Pinball Quest for the NES. Pretty unique idea for a game! It's pretty janky as far as pinball goes, but definitely playable and the interesting concept carries this one pretty far.

It's Sesame Street! This is a full playthrough of all the modes. Matching shapes and colors as well as counting and basic addition. Very good presentation which is what you want out of a preschool level game like this.

This is a full playthrough of Bases Loaded 3 on the NES. This is the only game of the series that doesn't require the full season. Instead, a rating system after each game determines which level of opponent you'll play next. To win, you must earn a perfect 100 rating against the hardest Level 5 team, which I managed to do here in only 3 games, all victories.
Note that there is an inconsistency in this video. I failed to record the first game fully in my initial run, so I replayed the first game and stitched the two recordings together to make it look as seamless as possible. I ended up getting a similar result thankfully. Probably no one would notice this but I feel better disclosing it here anyway.

This is a full playthrough of The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy on the NES. This is a solid enough playthrough of a solid enough game, not too much more to say about it!

This is a longplay of Skate or Die on the NES. I did the Compete All mode and then finished all events reasonably well. There's not too much else to say about this one, nice and short!

This is a full playthrough of The Uncanny X-Men on the NES. This might well be the worst game on the console, at least of games with the Seal of Approval on it. Really frustrating gameplay and controls, and a useless AI partner that gets your characters killed within seconds. Also includes a well hidden final stage just as the cherry on top. The playthrough is good enough considering all the retries just to get through the end.

The arcade classic comes home! Well not exactly, but this is a pretty good arcade port on the NES. This is a full playthrough of the game played fairly well, finished without continuing. I wanted to do a deathless playthrough but that would involve a lot more practice, this is good enough for me.

This is a full playthrough of the game Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival on the NES. It features four stages with different gameplay and a fifth, final stage at the end. This game was both pretty easy and pretty boring, up until the final stage at least.

Finally I finished! Here I'm wrapping up the dungeons and doing various endgame stuff. This is where I also started taking hints for the last 2-3 hours so progress really sprints ahead just to get it done. This was quite a game!

I had a very hard time starting out, so this video is mostly learning about the game, dying a lot, and figuring out how to recover. Also I got myself in a very bad way that made the whole playthrough very difficult.
Note: My capture had some failures for some of these parts so there are some awkward cuts made where that happened. The full playthrough is here, aside from some short walks to go save when I noticed the capture messed up.

This is a full playthrough of Flight of the Intruder on the NES. This game just goes on and on and on. There are twelve missions, each one longer than the last. I figured out a trick in the dogfighting sections so make those much easier, but still, it takes a long time to get to the end.

This is a longplay of a very long named golf game. I won both a round of skins game and a round of stroke play. I tried to square off against The Golden Bear but he was way too good. Even some of the lesser golfers shot way under par and I was outmatched. I won these games against middle of the road golfers and I'm satisfied with that.

This is a full playthrough of Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight on the NES. This was my first time beating the game. Prior to this recording I played through most of the game up to the final planet, so about half of the video is me figuring out the final level of the game for the first time. The last stage is pretty hard! Don't expect greatness here, but it's finished!

This is a full playthrough of StarTropics on the NES. I didn't expect to beat this in 3 hours, but it's a game I've played a lot and when you know what to do it's not super long. This is one of the best games on the NES, I think.

This is a full playthrough of Bubble Bobble on the NES, where I got the true ending. You have to play through the game twice meeting some special conditions to get this ending, all of which are shown here. This is a really fun game to play through and I think I played well, although I needed many continues to do so.

This is a full playthrough of The Karate Kid on the NES. I remember playing this as a kid and not getting very far. It turns out, going back and playing it as an adult, it's not so hard. It is probably all those years of game playing experience helping me out. This is a pretty decent game, just short, and also a little unfair if you are helplessly juggled around by the bad guys.

This is a full playthrough of Days of Thunder on the NES. This game is really hard, with no continues or passwords, and opposing cars that box you in and bonk you to cause damage to your car. I needed some help with the technique before I was able to drive this home, so to speak.

This is a full playthrough of The Lone Ranger on the NES. This was my first time playing through this game. This video is done as a segment per level. There was only one stage I completed on the first try so there is minimal wandering around that would be typical of a blind playthrough. This is a fun game, it does a lot of things but does them all well. It is also Zapper compatible, which explains the video quality here. It's pretty tough too.

This is a full playthrough of The Last Ninja on the NES. This game is a port of The Last Ninja 2 that was released on several vintage PCs. I would consider this a solid playthrough with a few deaths featuring what I would guess is a normal route through the game. I actually speedran this a little bit and have beaten this several minutes faster, but I never recorded it, so this is what I'm left with. Still, I think it is good for a casual playthrough.

This is a full playthrough of Lode Runner on the NES. The game has 50 stages and it has a built-in stage select that you can use at any time. There's no ending screen here, so I'm glad to have proof of clearing all 50 stages and seeing it loop around. I completed the game in three sessions, splitting the video at Stages 17 and 38. I tried to make it seamless, anyway. This is a fun game, a little tricky in spots, but nothing I couldn't overcome.

This is a playthrough featuring all six difficulty loops in the NES version of Donkey Kong. I was surprised how quickly I managed to pull this run together. I only suffered one death through all six loops, and I played it through until I lost all my remaining lives. That didn't take too long actually!

This is a full playthrough of Nigel Mansell's Championship Racing on the NES. I spliced together all 16 races, all the ones were I decided I did well enough to move on. This is a pretty good racing game, a little unfair at times, but quality for sure.

This is a full playthrough of Day Dreamin' Davey on the NES. This is sort of a Zelda like game where you travel through different scenarios that Davey dreams up. This game is pretty glitchy and janky, but it does have some neat ideas throughout the scenarios, including some optional Zapper content. This has to be the most obscure Zapper-compatible game the NES has to offer.

This is a companion video for my project Take On The NES Library where I am attempting to beat all licensed NES games and more.
This is a full playthrough of Guerrilla War on the NES. This is an excellent top-down run-and-gun style of game, perhaps the best of its kind on the NES. This game is sort of well known for the fact that you can beat the game without really trying by abusing the infinite continues and instant respawns. In this playthrough, I set it to hard difficulty and tried to play it straight up, resulting in a slower, more thoughtful playthrough. It still took quite a few continues, but not nearly as many as it could have taken. There was also a long pause toward the end of the game that I straight up cut out of this video. No one wants five minutes of the game paused, I'm sure.

This is a full playthrough of Millipede on the NES. This is an endless game but the millipede cycles back to the full millipede in Wave 17, so beating 16 waves is good enough to consider having looped the game. I did this in both Game A and Game B just for good measure.

This is a companion video for my project Take On The NES Library where I am attempting to beat all licensed NES games and more.
This is a full playthrough of Magic Darts on the NES. This game is fairly deep for an NES dart game, featuring six different modes with up to four players including optional computer opponents. I cleared 301 mode against CPU players, then played the remaining modes solo for high score where applicable. I only had to repeat a mode one time just for high score, otherwise everything else was done first try. It was a pretty easy game but fun for what it is.

This is Part 2/2 of a full playthrough of Little Ninja Brothers on the NES. This was my first time playing this game so there's a lot of grinding for levels and wandering around figuring out what to do. Still, this was a fun game and sure seems like a hidden gem to me.

This is Part 1/2 of my full playthrough of Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? on the NES. This video was just a few minutes too long to upload in full. This covers the first 50 cases in the game and ends with the capture of Carmen Sandiego herself!

This is a full playthrough of John Elway's Quarterback on the NES. My first complete run of this game was a blowout which I am happy about. This wasn't that hard to beat.

This is a companion video for my project Take On The NES Library where I am attempting to beat all licensed NES games and more.
This is a full playthrough of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Taito version) on the NES. I cleared all stages in the game even though you can skip some for a slightly worse ending. There is a motorcycle driving stage that only appears if you lose a level and you won't see that here because I didn't lose! It took me a lot of tries at this before I got a recording where I actually won the game because I kept failing at choosing the grail at the end. So now I am quite familiar with the game, at least with the route I took.

This is a full playthrough of Double Dribble on the NES. A victory's a victory, but this one was not that great. I played this on Level 3, hardest difficulty, without any of the known scoring exploits because I didn't know of them prior to playing this game. This might be interesting enough to watch because it was a pretty close, back-and-forth kind of game.

This is a full playthrough of Raid on Bungeling Bay on the NES. There is only one level in this game where you have to destroy all six factories to win. That said, this is a pretty tough game where everything is out to get you and the difficulty ramps up quickly. For this run I beat one loop of the game on Game B. The ending is the same, I just wanted a stricter challenge for completion. My playthrough feels poor by my standards but I got the job done.

This is a full playthrough of Gyromite on the NES. I completed Game A without continuing and three loops of Game B. I did beat both modes using my actual R.O.B., though that was not recorded. For this video I played manually using both controllers, though I did set the second controller in R.O.B.'s rail so that I could hit the big blue and red buttons on it, making it just slightly more authentic. There is a lot of timing and coordination when playing this with R.O.B. Without, it is a very simplistic, run-of-the-mill type of game.

This is a full playthrough of The Ren & Stimpy Show: Buckaroo$ on the NES. This is basically a mascot platformer of the early to mid '90s, but where most of them appears on the SNES and Genesis, this one was on the NES. It has a few interesting ideas but is mostly an average platformer at best.

This is a companion video for my project Take On The NES Library where I am attempting to beat all licensed NES games and more.
This is a full playthrough of Arch Rivals on the NES done blind. This definitely feels like the prototype of NBA Jam. I was losing pretty badly for much of the game until I figured out I should just shove everyone around. It was easy after that.

I am trying something new this time! Here is my full longplay of The Magic of Scheherazade on NES. This is a blind playthrough after having played maybe 30 minutes of the game offline. This is a pretty neat game with its mix of action exploration and turn based combat. Normally I don't record full games this long but I am going to try doing it from now on. An interesting finding of this full recording is that I expected to have played closer to 15 hours than 10.

This is a longplay of Wheel of Fortune on the NES. I beat the game on the highest difficulty. This is a short game to play but it took me five attempts to beat this. I am not super great at this game so I needed some luck, especially in the final round. Fortunately, the game basically handed me the grand prize at the end, so that was nice.

This is a full playthrough of Snake Rattle N Roll on the NES. You don't see many isometric NES games but I had a really good time with this one. This is a pretty good run though it starts to fall apart near the end. It's a tough game overall that really ramps up late. I held it together just enough to seal victory.

This is a full playthrough of Metal Gear on the NES. This is one of those classic games many people have played that I got to experience for the first time. It was pretty fun, though it definitely has some issues with the translation and pacing. My first playthrough took about 8 hours, this one was much faster. This isn't an overly skilled playthrough, very much a casual one instead.

This is a playthrough of the World Series in Bases Loaded II: Second Season on the NES. This was roughly a 30-hour game to play all the way through, so instead of that I recorded just the World Series. You have to win 75 games to make it here, then win the best-of-7 series to beat the game. I got here with a 75-5 record and then steamrolled through these four games.

This is a full playthrough of Space Shuttle Project on the NES. This is a pretty neat game where you go through the entire space shuttle launch and back to Earth through a series of mini-games. Sadly the game gets very repetitive trying to play through the entire game at once, but it sure is a neat idea just the same.

This is a companion video for my project Take On The NES Library where I am attempting to beat all licensed NES games and more.
This is a full playthrough of Wild Gunman on the NES, featuring all three game modes. I used authentic NES hardware and a Zapper when playing this game. For this video, I cleared the first two modes in one sitting and the third mode later on and combined the videos together into one seamless longplay. This game doesn't have a clearly defined winning condition. My goal was to win the fastest draws in all modes which I did accomplish, then went a little further. In Game A I cleared 20 waves, in Game B I looped the score counter, and in Game C I finished 20 waves which gives you the "MASTER" text after Wave 20. That's enough mastery to consider the game beaten since it doesn't get any more difficult beyond this.

This is a full playthrough of Tiny Toon Adventures on the NES. This is a fun platformer with great music that looks great too. It gets a little tricky in spots and I have a few deaths here and there, but not a bad run overall.

Welcome to the world of Shadowgate! This is a full playthrough of Shadowgate on the NES. Once you know all the puzzles this game goes pretty quickly. The first try took me several hours and several hints to push me toward the finish line. Aside from picking up a few unnecessary items, this is a straightforward push to the end.

This is a full playthrough of Amagon on the NES. This game is pretty tough until you become Megagon, then the game almost gets too easy. It took me some time to embrace the Megagon strategy. I struggled some with deaths in this run and it almost didn't look like I was gonna make it, but I beat the game without continuing.
