Watch this video to see what it’s like onboard the Train Suite Shiki-Shima across Japan! On our journey through massive urban centers, passed breathtaking mountains, and over peaceful rivers. We’ll cover nearly 550 miles over almost 31 hours!

The Shiki-Shima Train should be at the top of your travel bucket list. In this video, we’ll leave Tokyo at 9:15 and travel across Japan to return, the next evening, to our starting point: Ueno Station in Tokyo. Along the way, we’ll travel in a First Class train car with every amenity you can imagine (and some First Class Luxuries to surprise you!).

Onboard the Shiki-Shima First Class Train experience, we’ll have our own dedicated Team to take care of our every need, two INSANELY comfortable beds and Michelin Star Quality food.

In this video, you’ll see what it’s like to travel on the Shinkansen High Speed Train in the Green Car, which is similar to First Class. You’ll join us as we start in Osaka and travel north, to Tokyo. The 319 mile (514km) trip will only take about 2 and a half hours thanks to the high speed train!

We’ll hit speeds of up to 177 miles per hour as we zoom across the Japanese countryside.

Sleeper Train to the ARCTIC CIRCLE (Will We Find Santa?)

Jeb Brooks 2023-12-02 | Watch this video to experience a Polar Express train to the Arctic Circle in Finland! We’ll travel from Helsinki to Rovaniemi in order to visit Santa Claus.

This is the REAL LIFE Polar Express in Finland called the “Santa Claus Express.” It's a special offering of the famous "Lapland Express" where we'll visit Finland's Lapland!

This ~500 mile trip will take us 12 hours through some of the most magnificent scenery in the Northern Hemisphere!

Lapland has been home to Santa Claus for centuries and our final destination, directly on the Arctic Circle, is his official headquarters!

Along the way, we’ll tour the VR Rail Upstairs Sleeper Room. It’s like a hotel room on rails, complete with its own bathroom and shower! We’ll also sample the food in the Restaurant Car.

But, the best part has to be the scenery we’ll wake up to on the train! It is truly breathtaking. We even saw eight tiny reindeer!

But, can we find the Big Man himself? Our train journey will end with a visit to the Santa Claus Village in Lapland, Finland. That’s Santa’s official headquarters where we hope to put in a good word for you!

INAUGURAL FLIGHT on Silver Airways (Greensboro to Nashville)

Silver is a regional airline operating ATR-72 Turboprops from Florida, the Caribbean, and the Southeast United States.

I was over-the-moon excited to grab a ticket for this service. I was even the first passenger to ever check-in with Silver Airways!

There’s not a lot of services or features onboard, but we’ll still explore them all.

We’ll even give the experience a JebScore! We modified the Lounge score to better reflect an Economy Experience by focusing on the Ground Experience with things like boarding, communication, etc.

Unfortunately, Suzanne couldn’t join me on this trip, but she’ll be back soon!!

This is Delta Air Lines’ flagship route from Atlanta to Johannesburg. We made the trip from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport onboard Delta Air Lines Flight Number 200.

This video will showcase what it’s like to travel onboard one of the longest flight on planet earth! We’ll highlight everything you’ll experience in Delta One Business Class for 15 hours.

We'll even share some of our top tips for long flights so your next long flight is a bit easier!

You’ll see two of Delta’s best Sky Clubs in, the industry-leading Delta One Business Class Suite, the notable Delta Air Lines Business Class food, the Inflight Entertainment, and even get a sense for Delta’s incredible onboard hospitality.

This Delta Air Lines A350 flight was scheduled to take about 15.5 hours, but thanks to some good work up front in the cockpit, we were onboard for only 15 hours!

Watch this video before booking Via Rail’s “The Canadian” train from Toronto to Vancouver! On our journey through vast forests, over endless prairies, and up breathtaking mountain passes, we’ll cover nearly 3,000 miles over almost 100 hours!

The Canadian should be at the top of your travel bucket list. In this video, we’ll leave Toronto on Wednesday morning at 9:55 and arrive in Vancouver on Sunday morning. Along the way, we’ll travel in a First Class train car with every amenity you can imagine (and some First Class Luxuries to surprise you!).

Onboard the Prestige Class experience, we’ll have our own dedicated Concierge Team to take care of our every need, a HUGE bed with a massively comfortable mattress, and delicious food.

This video will show you what it's like to have a budget travel experience on one of Europe's most prolific budget travel airlines.

This low cost carrier has transformed Europe. It’s made it possible to fly all over the continent (and beyond) for super low fares thanks to its bare-bones approach. Along the way, it’s earned a sometimes negative reputation. But maybe that’s unfair.

In this video, you’ll see exactly what it’s like onboard. We’ll highlight the ticket-buying process, what extras you may need to tack onto your fare, what it’s like onboard, the best seat in the house, and even the buy onboard menu.

Despite our hours of research, we still made mistakes and had to make a “last minute” upgrade to our fare because of it. We also chose to share a bite onboard, but that also didn’t go according to plan.

I DROVE THIS TRAIN (and you can too!)

The North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC invited me to come and experience their "At The Throttle" session. This Drive a train experience is available to the public and I'll show you how you can participate in this incredible program that allows visitors to operate one of the museum's locomotives.

The North Carolina Transportation Museum, located in Spencer, NC - about an hour north of Charlotte - just happens to be about 45 minutes from my home in Greensboro, NC!

This facility began life as the main facility servicing and overhauling steam locomotives and other equipment for the Southern Railway, which operated lines between Atlanta and Washington, DC.

Before driving this train, we'll explore the NC Train Museum in Spencer, NC and even go inside the historic Spencer NC Roundhouse, the largest one still in use here in North America!

I was invited to operate their 6133 Locomotive from Southern Railway. It was originally built in 1950 and I learned quickly just how complicated operating this locomotive really was!

This is a lot more than just a historic train ride! We'll actually drive a historic train!

Unfortunately, the flight will soon be onboard a Singapore Airlines 777-300 with Singapore First Class.

Worlds MOST EXTREME Airports (Caribbean Edition)

Jeb Brooks 2023-04-08 | Watch this video to explore THREE of the world’s MOST EXTREME Airports! The best part, they’re all a ten minute flight apart from each other.

St Maarten will be our base of operations for this Caribbean Adventure. We’ll first explore the world famous Maho Beach where it’s easy to watch jumbo jets land at the nearby St. Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport.

After that, we’ll make the unforgettable 10-minute flight to St. Baarths and experience the unbelievable approach into that island’s airport. It requires specially trained pilots to fly over a hill – and oncoming traffic - before essentially diving toward the airport below. It is hair-raising and anxiety inducing, not for the faint of heart!

We’ll see more of the island before flying to Saba, home to the world’s shortest commercial runway. The approach into that airport and landing is as close to landing on an aircraft carrier as I’ve ever felt, but it was the departure that was the most nail-biting of all!

This Caribbean Aviation Adventure is one we’d recommend to just about everyone. Hope you enjoy!

Flying to the Caribbean on a PRIVATE JET (Gulfstream G450)

You’ll see everything from the luxurious accommodations onboard to the catering, even the Gulfstream cockpit! We'll give you a Gulfstream private jet tour, highlighting the Gulfstream G450 interior!

This 1,600 mile trip lasted four hours thanks to a surprise change in our flight path, but we weren’t about to complain about more time onboard this “Better-Than-First-Class” Private Jet experience!

This private jet is one of the most luxurious in the sky. The Gulfstream G450 is capable of traveling up to 5,000 miles. In fact, our crew had recently flown from Washington Dulles Airport to Milan in Italy! Our four hours onboard this private jet were incredible!

Amtrak Across America (We Didnt Make It)

Jeb Brooks 2023-03-18 | Watch this video to see what happened when we tried to complete our journey across the United States by Rail!

Our trip began back in Seattle when we boarded Amtrak’s Empire Builder for 48 hours. We enjoyed some of America’s most breathtaking scenery along the way before arriving in Chicago, but now it’s time to complete our rail journey across the continent to get home to Greensboro, NC.

Today, we’ll leave Chicago for the 24 hour journey to Washington, DC onboard Amtrak’s Cardinal Train. The Cardinal passes through Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, and DC. We’ll travel through the very heart of Appalachia and the Valley of Virginia along the way to our nation’s capital.

From there, we’ll spend eight more hours on the Carolinian for our final leg home to Greensboro.

All in, that’s 80 hours or more than three days! Well, at least that was our plan.

Our 24 hours on the Cardinal would be spent in an Amtrak Viewliner II Bedroom, which we’ll explore in depth in this video. We'll even offer an Amtrak food review.

Unfortunately, an Amtrak Delay got in the way of our plans and we had to change them at the last minute. Watch the video to find out what happened on this Amtrak Adventure!

Train travel in USA isn't always perfect and we'll show you exactly what we did when our plans didn't work out. We'll give you some train travel tips along the way to make the most of your Amtrak train trip.

We made the most of our delayed train, even though in meant we couldn’t achieve our goal of traveling by train across the USA.

Amtrak EMPIRE BUILDER Sleeper Train (Seattle to Chicago)

Jeb Brooks 2023-03-11 | Watch this video in order to experience the Amtrak Empire Builder train as it crosses some of the most dramatic land in the United States, passing through Washington State, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois

Thanks to a delay, we saw more than most passengers would expect, including some of the most stunning scenery we’ve ever encountered in Northern Idaho.

The entire Amtrak Empire Builder route is scheduled to take 46 hours, but our trip ended up taking a lot longer. We were supposed to leave Seattle at 4:55 in the afternoon, but didn’t get going until nearly 8:00 at night.

The Amtrak Empire Builder is certainly one of Amtrak’s most iconic routes, passing through the very heart of Glacier National Park. My first experience onboard an Amtrak overnight sleeper train was this route, but Westbound back in 2020. It felt incredible to be back onboard!

In this video, you’ll see the unmatched scenery and spectacular sights along the route, get a tour of Amtrak’s Bedroom, learn the history of this route, and we’ll even answer some of the most frequently asked questions we get asked about Amtrak Train Travel.

We’ll also showcase Amtrak’s Traditional Dining, which has (finally) returned to their long-haul western routes like the Empire Builder!

The Amtrak Empire Builder route traces its heritage back to 1929 when it was the flagship route of the vaunted “Great Northern Railway.” In the early part of the 20th century, railroad companies were the airlines of their time. Perhaps none were as storied as the Great Northern Railway.

The Amtrak Empire Builder is the latest incarnation of a route The Great Northern Railway operated. This is the northernmost transcontinental railway in the country and was also the only privately funded transcontinental railroad in the nation’s history. Unlike every other one, it was built without any federal funding.

Today, Amtrak is the only passenger operator the Empire Builder route and, as with nearly all of Amtrak’s operations, we competed with freight traffic, which always takes priority because the freight lines own the track on this route. Amtrak is just borrowing it for the Empire Builder, which means delays are very possible. But, it turns out, our delay was the best thing that could have happened on this journey…

Construction began on the MCI Airport Terminal in March 2019. The building is more than 1 million square feet, cost 1.5 billion dollars, and was completed on budget and a day earlier than planned.

We'll look at the passenger experience from beginning to end. We’ll even look inside the old Kansas City International KCI Airport terminal design to understand what it’s replacing.

The New MCI Airport is just one of so many exciting New Airport Terminal projects going on all over the United States and we had so much fun exploring the new KCI Terminal when it opened on Tuesday, February 28, 2023!

There are 39 gates at KCI Airport with room to expand to 50! While the security features of the old terminals left A LOT to be desired, the new set-up is smooth with 16 lanes! It took us no time at all to get through the Airport experience. I even had time to get an airport haircut!

LAST TIME on American Airlines Flagship FIRST CLASS

American Airlines made headlines when they announced the end of First Class. And that’s why we’ll be traveling in this most luxurious way of crossing the country one last time to show you exactly what the end of First Class is all about.

Here in the United States on most domestic flights, the top level of service onboard many airlines is called “First Class,” but it’s not what you may imagine. We made a whole video about this. I’ll link to it below. But here at American Airlines, on certain domestic and international routes, they’ve always offered what they call Flagship First which is more aligned with what you would find on international airlines’ first class. American is the last US airline offering a true first class, United phased it out in 2018 and Delta never offered a true First class product.

We Flew ACROSS The USA on the MOST HATED PLANE (CRJ200)

Jeb Brooks 2023-01-28 | Watch this video to see what it's like to fly across the USA on the most hated plane, the CRJ-200!

In this video, we’ll travel from our home in Greensboro, NC all the way to California, but only using regional jets! We’ll mostly focus on the CRJ 200, but the close cousin, the ERJ-145 will make a brief appearance, too.

These regional jets are easy to hate, but we wanted to put them to the ultimate test by crossing the entire country in them. The CRJ-200 is particularly uncomfortable and a lot of airlines are getting rid of them, but United Airlines, through the United Express brand, has more 50 seat regional planes than American and Delta combined, so we’ll be on a lot of United CRJ200 airplanes in this video as we fly across the USA on the most hated plane!

Why do passengers think the CRJ 200 is the worst plane?

For starters, they don’t have plugs or Wi-fi, the Windows are too low, the overhead bins can’t accommodate roll aboard bags, there’s barely any headroom, the lavatories are tiny, there’s no first class or even economy plus, the seats are incredibly small, and if the plane isn’t full, people in the front may have to move to the back to ensure proper weight and balance. In short, CRJ200’s and ERJ145’s are pretty easy to hate.

In this Antarctica Travel Vlog, you’ll see what it’s like to fly from Cape Town to Antarctica’s only private jet runway and then spend a week flying around Antarctica’s Queen Maud Land. You’ll see the luxury accommodations provided by White Desert, the incredible airplanes operating in this unforgiving environment.

We’ll fight hurricane force winds and negative 35 degree temperatures in order to visit a spot on the map that’s nearly impossible to reach. Along the way, we’ll see what it’s like to spend a week on the coldest, driest, and windiest continent.

The South Pole is the southernmost point on planet earth and that, in and of itself, is enough for me to want to visit, but there’s more. Fewer than 500 tourists visit each year. Even if everything goes perfectly – which of course it won’t – getting there just isn’t easy.

We'll fly on an Airbus A340 to Antarctica and then onboard a specially modified DC-3 called a Basler as we answer the question can you travel to Antarctica (and beyond)?

Whats it like to take New Zealands WORLD FAMOUS Ferry?

Join us as we travel across the Cook Strait from the Picton at the top of the South Island to New Zealand’s bustling capital of Wellington on the North Island aboard the Kaitaki ferry!

This is only the second time we’ve made a video highlighting a ferry and it was incredible!

Kiwirail runs this ferry as part of its Great Journeys of New Zealand brand, which is an apt name. They also run the TranzAlpine, Coastal Pacific, and Great Northern trains. The schedules line up to make it possible to travel by rail and ferry all the way from Christchurch to Auckland and back using these services.

We splurged for the lounge access to make this a luxury travel experience. That means you get to see the Kaitaki Plus Lounge where we indulged in the range of food and drinks they make available. We made the trip from Sydney’s Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) onboard Qantas Flight 007!

This video will showcase what it’s like to travel onboard the tenth longest flight on planet earth! We’ll highlight everything you’ll experience in Qantas Business Class for 15 hours onboard.

You’ll see the Flagship Qantas Business Class Lounge in Sydney, The Best Business Class seat in the Sky onboard the Qantas 787 Dreamliner, the voluminous Qantas Business Class food, the Inflight Entertainment, and even get a sense for the unmatched professionalism of Qantas’ onboard hospitality.

This Qantas 787 Dreamliner flight was supposed to leave about 6:00 in the afternoon, but thanks to unexpected delays on the ground, we were held back an HOUR! But watch the video to see more about that…and so much more from this flight!

From there, we’ll head north toward Wine Country, while hugging the Pacific Coast, watching waves crash and spotting seals, dolphins, and other sea mammals.

We made the trip from New York’s JFK international airport to Auckland’s International Airport onboard Air New Zealand Flight Number 1!

This video will showcase what it’s like to travel onboard the fourth longest flight on planet earth! We’ll highlight everything you’ll experience in Air New Zealand Business Class for almost 18 hours.

You’ll see the Business Class Lounge used by Air New Zealand in New York, the quirky Air New Zealand Business Class seat, the scrumptious Air New Zealand Business Class food, the Inflight Entertainment, and even get a sense for Air New Zealand’s incredible onboard hospitality.

This Air New Zealand 787 Dreamliner flight was supposed to take about 17 hours, but thanks to a long taxi time at JFK Airport and “seasonable winds,” we were onboard for a whopping 18 hours and 10 minutes!
