MaG48HMML: Celestial Resort - No Damage, Buster Only, No Miss, Tamp Challenge
updated
After watching Power Guy and AeolusCE07 having so much fun¹ with Mega Man 2.5D, I had to revisit that wonderful fangame! And what a better way of doing so than by playing as Roll with her OP “Buster”? She is by far the best character for No Damage, Uncharged Buster Only, No Miss challenges (she can’t charge her Buster at all + she can have only one shot onscreen at a time + her lemons are three times more powerful than Mega Man’s ones). She's just perfect for the sniper kind of gameplay that those type of challenges demand!
This time we are going for a swim in Splash Woman’s stage, as we can’t resist the nice weather and its inviting water! By the way, that huge Mega Man head is still one of my favorite Easter Eggs in any Mega Man game! We will also collect a mysterious “B” letter, which I suspect will help us _bond_ with some mysterious character.

Spark Mandrill Syndrome is real, folks! And who better than Bass to mercilessly exploit that?
I had no idea this was a thing! Cold Man is usually the first boss I pick during my Mega Man & Bass playthroughs, and even during the rematches I had just grew accustomed to him being one of those rare Robot Masters whom we can’t beat using only his weakness (at least without Energy Saver), as we run out of weapon energy before finishing him off (similar to MM2 Quick Man in that regard). Well, little did I know that we need only a single shot¹ of Lightning Bolt, followed by a barrage of Buster shots as Bass, to stun lock him into oblivion!
I learned about this fact while watching a very good video by DaveControl where he provides an In-Depth Mega Man & Bass Design Analysis². As soon as I noticed that quirk with Cold Man, I simply had to go back to that wonderful and challenging game to try it out myself! After that, I did some quick research, and found a couple other videos³ about this bug; nevertheless, I still think it’s worth making a video about the subject, so that we can spread this funny meme-bug-exploit material even further!
¹ There seems to be some RNG, or maybe the moment we have to start hitting Cold Man during his stun lock animation with the Buster seems to be very precise, so the number of times one might need to hit him with Lightning Bolt for this to work may vary, but it’s easy to get him stun locked like that. Also, that only seems to work when playing as Bass (or at the very least he makes it much easier), which supports the hypothesis of that quirk being related to hitting Cold Man in a very precise moment of his stun lock animation.
² DaveControl does not explicitly mention that bug in his video, but he ends up subtly exploiting it in his footage. One can notice that Cold Man’s stun lock state lasts much longer when DaveControl keeps firing with Bass’s Buster after hitting that Robot Master with a Lightning Bolt. Even though Cold Man does not get completely stun locked in DaveControl’s video, the extended period of that state immediately caught up my attention, inspiring me to test it myself.
You can check DaveControl’s video here (the aforementioned moment happens at 01:17:40): youtu.be/D94AAC8c26o
³ I don’t know who was the first person to discover this bug, but the oldest video I could find about the subject was this one by SenshiSam: youtu.be/3IGYkWchNLc

In 20XX, Mega Man tries too hard to charge Atomic Fire to destroy THAT Returning Sniper Joe in Mega Man 2 Wily 4 stage without getting hit. Such a powerful but reckless act causes a widespread drought that changes forever Earth as we know it. Fishes evolve into vicious terrestrial beings ready to hunt fighting-for-everlasting-peace Robots and the like.
All that power also creates tremendous waves of energy that interfere with other Universes. Kine, realizing that unique opportunity, uses part of that energy to create a portal from the Kirby Universe to the Mega Man one, leading those fishes into an orchestrated effort to rule both Universes. All of that gets even worse when—
Ok, I’m totally making this up. I have no idea what’s the lore here, but I LOVE this stage! Big Fish is one of the best designers in the MaGMML community, with pretty creative and thoughtful ideas that culminate in very cohesive and memorable levels. This one, called “wet”, is no exception, having wonderful difficulty progression and overall flow through its unique setups.
I don’t mind fishes out of water at all when the Big Fish behind all that knows exactly what it takes to create such an enjoyable, exquisite level.

Jezz Louise! Someone take care of those campers! They’re ruining my night stroll!
In this episode of our pacifist adventures, Mega Man will learn the hard way what it means to have a target on his back. We’ll try our best not to abuse _too much_ utilities, while beating mini-bosses and Sniper Man himself Buster Only, No Miss.
The music and night setting will bring wonderful memories of Jet Man stage in Mega Man Unlimited¹, and we will even find a funny little glitch regarding the boss door, which seems a tad bit too attached to our blue hero.
Created by Tokyo_Tokyo, _Crosshair Aware_ is the 31st place entry in the level design contest/fangame Make a Good Mega Man Level 3.

It’s time for a super fun 2D action-platformer indie game: Super Alloy Ranger, which has great, memorable boss fights!
Gameplay-wise, Super Alloy Range is similar to Mega Man X (with a couple of different mechanics like being able to shoot upward and downward, along with the fact that the latter also decreases our falling speed, doubling as a gliding mechanic); visually-wise, some of its enemies and huge bosses remind me of Metal Slug, another franchise that I love!
We can play as the Space Hunter Kelly (long-range character) or the robot No.2 (the melee one), and in this video we’ll cover all bosses while playing as the former on Crazy Difficulty. Also, even though we get different weapons throughout the game, we’ll be using only the default one (“Buster-Only”).

[If that's your first time seeing this fangame, keep in mind that Kalinka is a secret character that you unlock by collecting all the letters - J O E S - and then meeting her in a special area located in the final stage]
_OH JOES! (A Proto Man Adventure)_ is full of passion from the very first cutscene to the final image of Proto Man and Kalinka.
I can’t stress enough how much creativity this fangame exudes, which is even more surprising given its (very risky) premise: providing interesting and fun challenges based entirely on one of the most dreadful and tedious types of enemies in the Classic Mega Man franchise: Joes.
Flashman85 (AKA GeminiLaser, AKA Nathaniel Hoover), the witty mind behind this project, dared to explore them in new ways, presenting many inspired setups that on closer inspection reveal themselves to be very satisfying puzzles to solve.
Puzzles to solve. It’s very important to keep that last point in mind during your playthrough. This fangame will be much better appreciated if tackled as some sort of puzzle-action platformer. It’s as much about firing and dodging as it is about thinking and searching for ways to get around tricky combinations of assets. Pick the right mindset, and you’ll have a blast; treat is as a standard Mega Man game, and you’ll risk missing the point entirely.
I usually focus my challenges on bosses and stages, this video being a very rare occasion where I cover the full game. This is even more special because Flashman85 was the person who rekindled my passion for Mega Man. Before (binge) watching his playthroughs both in his Flashman85 and GeminiLaser channels, Mega Man was to me just a franchise that I had enjoyed in the past, but which was completely forgotten in the present.
All of that changed the moment I learned about his videos a few years ago. His enthusiasm, passion, that fire that is much easier to feel than to explain, got me completely hooked. It was extremely contagious. His content and the way he presented it reminded me of why I enjoyed so much those games in the past, convincing me to go back to them, while also introducing me to the wonderful world of fangames and its rich community.
That’s the main reason that inspired me to start recording and sharing my gameplay through my channel, while also interacting more instead of being just a lurker. I tried to cultivate at least a fraction of that immense energy that Flashman85 brings to everything he does. Those changes were paramount to my path, leading me not only to create lots of content, but also to be part of the team creating the fangame _Mega Man: The Sequel Wars_ as its lead tester.
And that’s one of the most difficult and amazing things that a content creator can do: inspire others. Show a very technical video, and those watching will applaud the skill; convey the passion that ignites that skill, and those watching will feel an irresistible urge to try that path as well. Flashman85 did (and does) that to me. And I’m very grateful for that.

In today's episode, Mega Man decided it was a great idea to promote pacifism in a stage full of missiles, whose Robot Master's name literally means "Bullet Man" (Dangan Man from Rockman & Forte: Mirai Kara no Chousensha). What could possibly go wrong?
Created by JupiHornet¹ and Savordez², _Dangan Factory_ is the 22nd place entry in the level design contest/fangame Make a Good Mega Man Level 3. This stage is full of personality, being very atmospheric in how in handles its background transitions and music (the elevator section is very memorable, a top-notch approach to stage progression).
Gameplay-wise, the main focus of this stage is its excellent set of platforming challenges, where designers managed to explore Dangan platforms and Ballade Missiles in a multitude of creative ways. They also mastered both hazard and checkpoint placement, in such a way that even with its many spikes, the challenges never feel unfair or too punishing. All in all, a pretty good stage, which is a joy to beat in pacifist fashion!
¹ JupiHornet was one of the judges in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, being also a former moderator of the SMBX forums and former co-owner of the Geometry Dash Forums. He has a YouTube channel with lots of interesting Mega Man playthroughs (official games, fangames & ROM Hacks). You can check his channel here:

² Savordez was a participant in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, having created the 9th place entry Komuso Temple, which is not only a very good level, but also the highest one to not contain custom assets, except for the scrolling cloud graphic! Savordez creates not only gaming content but also games. You can check his YouTube channel here:

If you love gravity shenanigans, this stage is for you! Created by BBLIR¹, _Access Corridor Alpha_ is the 11th place entry in the level design contest/fangame Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, paying homage to the classic and incredibly fun Metal Storm for the NES.
During this stage, we have some new mechanics, as one would expect: we can press "Up" or "Down" to reverse gravity at will! There's also a screen wrap gimmick! And those two elements combined make platforming - and pacifism! - much more fun! It was incredibly satisfying to figure out how to proceed through the stage like a monk ninja!
However, we'll pay with interest in the end, as the boss (Atlantis) has 4 phases! Sorrowful be the heart, Penitent One in charged lemons! I had to drop my "uncharged Buster only" restriction here for my sanity, but at least I kept the "No Miss" and hopefully the added pacifist one will make for an entertaining run to watch!
¹BBLIR is a sprite artist, musician, and recurring participant in the MaGMML series, who is currently working on a wonderful fangame called _Mega Met_ as its lead developer! I played the demo and had a blast! I highly recommend it, as I'm really looking forward to the final release!

Meet Zero Soul, a Super Boss created by snorunptyro¹ for the design contest/fangame Make a Good Mega Man Level (both the Original and the Remastered versions, although with different patterns in each game). You’ll first find him as the end boss of the Arena, but after that you’ll be able to fight him in the Boss Gallery as well, as shown in this video.
Get ready to deal with 14 different attacking patterns (along with lots of references to both the previous levels and Kirby²) in this great boss fight! This is your final test on Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, as you’ll need to show you’ve mastered everything that came before to earn your win!
¹ snoruntpyro is the creator of the Make a Good Mega Man Level series, having a substantial role in its development. Among many other things, she has also created a highly creative level for MaG48HMML called "Celestial Resort", which I covered in a different video ( youtu.be/9T4gifLsA3Q )

What Beth Harmon, Davie504, and Mega Man have in common? They all love to checkmate their opponents! And we’ll need all those good vibes from Netflix Queen’s Gambit + the CEO of Bass (and Mega Man) + Our beloved Blue Bomber to beat this chess-inspired level!
Created by Aria, _Checkmate_ is the 14th place entry in the design contest/fangame MaGMML3. Chess fans will appreciate the attention to detail, for example how pawn enemies’ first move is twice the length of their subsequent moves. They also will have to be ready for some tricky jumps during the platforming sections and a cool boss fight (Rook Man)!
This is a Holy Trinity challenge (No Damage + Uncharged Buster Only + No Miss), but since chess nowadays is gaining huge popularity with faster time controls, with players like Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Alireza Firouzja wreaking havoc also in Blitz and Bullet chess, we'll jump on the speed bandwagon and beat this stage in speedrun fashion as well!

Sometimes your Buster may be a little rusty, or you’re just feeling too lazy to fire (so many buttons to press, it can get clunky, I know). Fear not! Proto Shield solves all those issues! No more Jump 'n' Shoot Man. Just Jump Man, please!
This is Escape Route, a challenging level from the outstanding fangame Mega Man: Rock N Roll, created by Dennis Engelhard. Previously, I had beaten this Copy Robot MK2 boss using only Proto Shield, so this time I went for the full stage.
The approach I show here is quite consistent, especially when dealing with those pesky Bladers. Apart from that, one should also be careful against that final Returning Machine Gun Joe. I did two jumps there, as I always do during that section. The first one is to try to lure the Joe to jump as well, so that we can safely jump over him safely after that (it’s possible to slide under him in that case too); but even if he does not jump, that brief time he spends standing in place grants us that he will start shooting next, which allows us to safely jump over him as well. By the way, the relative distance we have to be from him is very precise. That’s why I first carefully positioned myself on the left side to be at exactly one full-slide length from where I should be to successfully jump over him. Keep that in mind in you case you’re going for this challenge. Instead of positioning myself very carefully when I’m already too close to the enemy, I did that when I was still far away from him, which greatly reduces the risk of such maneuver.
Finally, the “No Missed Reflected Shots” have a great impact on the boss fight, especially against Roll, as the approach shown here is the only one I could figure out to consistently hit her. If one drops that restriction, the fight can end quite quicker at the cost of missing some reflected shots.

Mega Mage World wears its influences on its sleeve: this PC fangame is strongly based on Mega Man I for Game Boy (Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge) from aesthetics, enemies, weapons, cutscenes, down to the unusual Boss Rush system used in that game, as instead of the traditional rematches, we fight 4 + 1 new bosses (acquiring lots of new special weapons, but very little time to use them, as there’s only the final stage left after that).
This is a charming game which can provide a short, fun gaming session for Mega Man fans in general (especially for those who have a strong connection with the Game Boy games); unfortunately, it is too easy for veterans, even on Hard Mode (which was the difficulty option chosen here). Level design and layout are both very simple, so Mega Mage World can feel repetitive for players who are used to playing lots of Mega Man-likes.
Despite the lack of challenge and innovation during the stages, I did enjoy the boss fights. Given the small screen size, their patterns were very reasonable and varied, with lenient hitboxes that worked quite well in this context (with the only exception being the meteor attack during the final boss fight, whose explosions seem to have bigger hitboxes – and last longer – than their sprites would suggest).

Led by 742mph and ThatOneEnder, _Mega Man Relay_ is a collaborative fan project where levels were created by a group of designers with a twist: The in-progress level was passed like a relay baton from one person to the next, each one adding their own twists and ideas according to what they received from the previous designer!
This fangame has 6 long levels, with a structure reminiscent of MaGMML games (unlimited lives + we start the game with a set of special weapons and utilities, although some of them behave differently from the official games). Besides that, the levels themselves have some neat innovations regarding gimmicks, enemies, and the shop system (there are in-level shops), not to mention the new take on Big Energy Pick-ups, which can be destroyed by charge shots, releasing two minor health energies and two minor weapon energies, which is a clever way of making those power-ups more useful in general.
Mega Man Relay also has a post-game content which includes even harder version of the bosses (Ex Mode). However, for this video, I fought only their normal versions.
If you enjoyed the MaGMML games, you will very likely enjoy this game as well!

Some riddles can challenge even Dracula's wit. What happens when an unstoppable teleporting meets an immovable wall jumping? Let’s find out in today’s Mega Man X challenge: beating Boomer Kuwanger No Damage, No Dash, Uncharged X-Buster Only, No Miss!
“Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.” (Pema Chödrön)
Pharaoh Man famously punched Mega Man in the face, an event that could easily provoke an emotional outburst from anyone (especially when you become a meme because of that); but our blue bomber knows better: he has found peace within himself, which flourished as pacifism to the outside world. “You punched me in the face? I'm not angry. I’ll just give you some lemons.” The rest is Mega Man 4 history.
P.S. Pacifism runs in the blood of the Light family. Not only Rock and X are pacifists, but did you know that Roll is one as well? She completed a pacifist mission in a 16-bit version of Pharaoh Man stage, which you can check here:

This is a very fun fight from “Mega Man X – Zero Playable”, a ROM Hack created by Programmer Peru. As you may tell by watching the video, the difficulty has been increased.
Some other changes to the original Mega Man X: Spark Mandrill is finally cured from his infamous syndrome; Sting Chameleon intensified his tongue workout and cannot be cheesed anymore with his weakness; Launch Octopus doesn’t lose his arms; Armored Armadillo doesn’t get naked when we use his weakness… hm, anything else? Oh, yeah. And we can play as Zero.

I swear this was supposed to be a challenge video; but Zero's AI insisted it should be a meme instead.
Oh, the good ol’ simpler times when jumping and shooting could solve all our problems! It’s time to forget our D-Pad and beat some bosses using only the A and B buttons!
Many Mega Man 1 players use that approach against Fire Man and Elec Man, but what about the other four Robot Masters? Ice Man and Cut Man can easily be defeated that way as well; Guts Man and Bomb Man, on the other hand, require good RNG in order for this to work. Can you see a pattern here? The worst bosses for this challenge are the ones that give us the worst weapons in the game. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
P.S. If you think Mega Man is becoming too lazy this way, well, you may not be wrong: youtu.be/AVPOjsMheU4

That's _Mega Man Revamped,_ a ROM Hack of Mega Man 1 released this December 2025 to celebrate our Blue Bomber's 38th anniversary!
Created by Doodle Dangernoodle with hacking contributions by Zieldak, and graphics contributions by Amaweks, this one goes in the same vein as the Revamped ROM Hacks of Mega Man 2 and 3: it changes the level design; rebalances the difficulty; improves graphics (all stages have now much better visuals and some changes in level design); and creates a much more polished experience overall;
*Some of the changes you'll find in this ROM Hack:*
Title Screen now has music;
Improved Bosses Sprites and Stages Backgrounds;
Weapon Get screen;
Improved versions of Rolling Cutter and Hyper Bomb: we can now fire them in three different directions (and Hyper Bomb explodes on contact);
Lag is significantly reduced;
Climbing ladders is faster;
I-frames protect us from spikes;
Removal of the Score System;
Number of lives shown below health bar;
No need to use special weapons to collect Magnet Beam;
No more cheap damage from bosses' lingering projectiles after defeating them;
Water Physics now works properly (which makes the CWU-01P much more manageable Buster Only than in the original);
Some changes to the level design to keep the experience fresh;
Rebalanced Difficulty (some examples):
Elec Man and Ice Man deal less damage with their attacks (and take less damage from their weaknesses); Cut Man takes only 2 damage from the Buster and does not have knockback anymore; Big Eyes have now 10 hp only; Foot Holders are not RNG anymore (that infamous section in Ice Man's stage was completely redesigned); Guts Man's stage is longer and more interesting; Health refill after beating bosses during the rematches.
And much more!

...and also _slowful!_ Holy Met! Our dear doctor is a little rusty in his platforming skills! Even though he is quite funny to play as, especially during his sliding animation, he is also quite slow during that movement, making some sections harder than usual. Nevertheless, we'll try not to abuse _too much_ our utilities during this run, as we'll do most platforming challenges without resorting to them. It's important to note that this challenge stage has some forced utility usage (similar to the official Mega Man 3 during Needle Man revisited). Apart from those sections, we will use utilities very sporadically to preserve most of the platforming challenge.
We'll also try not to abuse Star Crash too much, as that shield is completely broken in this game, making things way too easy. For those interested, I show how to easily beat the final section of this challenge stage without using Star Crash. The basic idea is that enemies do not respawn in this game, so we can strategic lure them one by one, dealing with each enemy separately, in order to avoid being overwhelmed. It's a common Souls-like approach that works well in this game.
As Mega Man 12 (ahem, I mean, Mega Man Dual Override) has just been announced for 2027 (oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!) , we still have some time to hone our skills waiting for it! And this challenge is a good one in that regard!

I can’t get enough of Pacifist runs in _Mega Man: Rock N Roll,_ this S-Tier fangame created by Dennis Engelhard!
In today’s episode, guess who is back with her double jump to save the day? Our heroine Roll, with her never-ending mercy, will once again save her 28 precious lemons for the boss: Polar Woman herself!
P.S. I’m really impressed by so many levels in this game being beatable under those restrictions. Holy Met!
P.P.S. Those Mobies repurposed as gimmicks are way too cute (and dangerous)!

It’s time to kick some robotic asses in another very good hack of Mega Man 1 by Timaeus: _Megaman 1 – Law of Justice version 1.2_ This is another good choice for those who want to dip their toes in ROM Hack waters but may be concerned with their usually high difficulty: here the challenges are on par with the official games, so that those who’ve beaten a few of the original Mega Man games should not struggle to beat this game either.
More importantly, players will find good level design with new graphics, music, enemies, gimmicks, special weapons and bosses. Once again, Timaeus created a ROM Hack experience that feels like a totally new game!

It warms my heart to see a good ROM Hack of Mega Man 1. Even though the official MM1 was a rough game, it inspired me to create some interesting videos related to challenges and even memes (Fun Fact: the very first upload I did for this channel was a Mega Man 1 challenge: “How to beat Cut Man with the Hyper Bomb”)¹
So I was quite glad to see that _Megaman 1 - The New Lands Remastered_ is a very good ROM Hack of Mega Man 1 created by Timaeus (romhacking) and Red Bun (additional sprites). Here players will find good level design overall with new stages (beautiful graphics and interesting layouts), new enemies, new gimmicks, new bosses (both in their visuals and A.I.), new special weapons, and even a heart container item that works as some sort of sub-tank (replacing the get-out-of-platforming-challenges-free-card Magnet Beam!)
Difficulty-wise, this is a quite accessible ROM Hack, which makes it a very good pick for those who want to try ROM Hacks but may be concerned with their (usually) higher difficulty. So get ready for an amazing hack that feels like a completely new game!
P.S. This is the version 1.2 of _Megaman 1 - The New Lands Remastered_. There is a version 1.3, but one of the changes in that most recent version is that it simplifies bosses’ patterns, which is the opposite of what I’m looking for; therefore, I decided to keep the challenge of the previous version, as fighting bosses is what I enjoy the most in Mega Man games (and I prefer more complex bosses’ A.I. to deal with).

Welcome to Rockman Claw, a very good ROM Hack of Rockman 1 by Tsukikuro!
As we often do in this channel, we are going to beat a stage under the Holy Trinity restriction (No Damage, Uncharged Buster Only, No Miss). Since this is Mega Man 1, we don’t need to worry about not charging our Buster, as we don’t have any choice in that regard; the _No Damage_ restriction is not the main issue here either; however, the _No Miss_ part is where things get (d)icey:
Ice Man’s stage has three main RNG enemies that can potentially (and very likely) ruin many No Miss runs: Sniper Joes, Picket Men, and Suzies.
Sniper Joes are by far the main issue here, as they can randomly jump at any given moment; you’d be surprised by how often we can miss a shot because of such simple behavior. Sometimes they might even double or triple jump;
Picket Men come second, as they have two RNG aspects: they might throw 3 or 5 pickaxes, but there is also RNG in how long it takes for them to restart a cycle. There are two possible durations: they might restart very quickly or wait a little longer. This can mess up with how we dodge their attacks (considering that we have to reposition ourselves to hit them as well), especially considering we also have to deal with ice physics during the entire stage;
Lastly, we have Suzies, who are random on whether they go immediately to the opposite direction after touching a wall or wait a little longer to do so. This is problematic especially during that section with a Picket Man at 03:28, as those two can desynch quite easily, making it very easy to miss a shot while trying to destroy that Suzy. All that “dance” I did there was because I was trying to synch the Picket Man’s window between cycles with the moment where the Suzy pauses on the floor (or at least when the Suzy pauses on the ceiling AND there’s sufficient time to hit it as it goes down BEFORE the Picket Man restarts his cycle).
At the end, we have Ice Man himself. Here the most fun part was figuring out a consistent way of beating him. Once I figured that out, the pattern itself became easily exploitable and shouldn’t be an issue for seasoned No Miss players.

Capcom's worst mistake regarding the Mega Man franchise was...
...TO NERF Rush Marine in Mega Man 4!!!
Oh, come on! In Mega Man 3, Rush Marine was a demigod, the stuff of legends! He could even jump! Robot Masters used to fear Rush Marine wreaking havoc in theirs stages during the night! He was so OP in Gemini Man's stage that not even MM3 Rush Jet dared to compete against him during that final platforming section!
Unfortunately, Mega Man 4 players have forgotten everything Rush Marine did to us, which is a shame! It's time to welcome Rush Marine back to the big dogs table! Let our sea wolf shine, you haters! Today we are going to learn how to beat Dive Man using the almighty Rush Marine! A new era is just beginning!

If you’ve been thinking on trying some Mega Man ROM Hacks, but have been afraid of their usually high difficulty, _Mega Man 4 Voyage - Blue Version_ is a very good pick. This one is very polished, with sound level design, great music, and interesting new patterns for the MM4 bosses. Even though its difficulty is higher than the original MM4, it is not very demanding or hardcore as some other famous Mega Man ROM Hacks out there.
*Info about Mega Man 4 Voyage – Blue Version*
I’ll just paste below the explanation presented by MartsINY in one of the text files that come with this ROM Hack:
_”When me (MartsINY) and DurfarC started to have a different vision on the game (mostly for level lenght and some other level design aspects), we agreed that after at least 6 month of the original Mega Man 4 Voyage release, I could release a version fitting "How Mega Man 4 Voyage should have been in my vision". So the current ROM hack is not pretending to be better than Mega Man 4 Voyage, but to correspond to my vision of a Mega Man game._
_If you already played the original Mega Man 4 Voyage, consider this game only as a different version of it, such as what it could have been. It is in no way trying to be a huge improvement in accomplishment over Mega Man 4 Voyage (mostly level redesigning was done)._
_This ROM hack is a major overhaul of Mega Man 4 that changes the original game so much that it can almost be considered a new game altogether. In fact, with the exception of the names of the 8 robot masters, very little is left from the original game._
_Mega Man 4 Voyage strives to be one of the most extensive Mega Man ROM hacks to be 100% completed and released to date, with an original storyline, new places to explore, reprogrammed robot master AIs, an improved weapon arsenal, new fortress bosses and an enormous soundtrack with almost 40 original songs to accompany it all. At the same time, it still tries to stick to the “run, jump and shoot” formula of the original classic Mega Man games. The hack should be suitable for veterans and casual players alike; it is more difficult than the original Mega Man 4, but easier than most other ROM hacks and fan games out there._
_What started as a one-man project has resulted in a fine collaboration between DurfarC (main author, level design, programming, music), MartsINY (main boss designer, programming) and chiptune composers Golden Shades, RRThiel, Cosmic Gem and MarkTherence. Furthermore, the hack incorporates patches, programming assets and graphics from a wide range of people.”_

Holy Met! What was that?! This fangame is sooo trippy, fun and hard! I loved e-v-e-r-y second of my playthrough!
Mega Man Dongs brings many creative ideas to the table, but it doesn’t get lost in a “just-for-the-memes” approach. Its level design is very solid with many interesting and creative gimmicks, very good boss fights, and a high difficulty that will demand that players bring their A game to beat a single stage!
The only downside is that it is too short, having only those Robot Masters stages; but hey, it’s not like the vast majority of players love Fortress stages, right?
P.S. I learned about Mega Man Dongs after playing MaGMML3 (Punch Donkey is a tier boss in that great fangame too!)

If you can’t beat them, join them! We won't have Mega Man this time. Let's play as a Metall instead!
This charming SAGE 2025 demo of the fangame Mega Hat offers 5 stages (Intro + 4 Met Masters’ stages) for players to experience a day in the life of a Met. You’ll be able to feel the power of an immovable object by using your (very) hard hat to reflect shots back to foes!
Unfortunately, since this is a challenge video, you won’t see that new mechanic here, but I strongly recommend that you try out that wonderful shield when playing this demo. It’s awesome! After Mega Man Soccer, we need Mega Man Basketball sooo bad! But I digress.
Mega Man Literal Force is a fangame being developed by Hisydum. It was inspired by Mega Man CX, Mega Man 4 Minus Infinity, Mega Man RAM, and MaGMML. In this demo we can play through 5 stages (Intro stage + 4 Robot Masters’ stages).
This game has a new mechanic called “Dual Function Extension”. It basically gives two different attacks for each special weapon. Also, when used with the Buster, it gives Mega Man i-frames for a brief period (it also has a cooldown to prevent players from abusing it). This can be very interesting, but we won’t be using it in this video.

It’s time to play my favorite stage in MaG24HMML: The first-place entry “Breaking Ground”, by NaOH.
We are going to explore a few quirks this stage has to offer, while also learning a wonderful (and very fast) way of dealing with the most unfair boss fight in the MaGMML series.
The fact that that, technically, this can only be successfully done in NG+ (to avoid getting stuck in the arena, as the method completely breaks the fight) makes this method quite specific; so I want to make it clear that its appeal is not so much making it easier to No Damage Quick Man (we could also use Flash Stopper during NG+), but that the method shown here is VERY fast (and quite funny in my opinion).
Also, I have no idea if that glitch is something well-known in the MaGMML community (I didn’t find another video showing it¹); that was something I stumbled upon by accident during one of my runs, so I wanted to share it here. Perhaps it might be useful for NG+ speedruns, but in any case, it’s a quite funny – and anti-climactic – way of dealing with that very annoying boss!
Let’s get this MEME run started!
¹ @GniefFiar Eric Zhou (Gnief Fiar) has many interesting speedruns related to the MaGMML series, so his channel was the first one that I checked while trying to find whether this was a well-known glitch. However, regarding MaG24HMML, I couldn’t find any NG+ speedruns (not even by other speedrunners). In any case, I recommend his very cool channel to all those players interested in speedrunning MaGMML games: youtube.com/@GniefFiar

P.S. It may sound redundant to state that this level was beaten No Damage & Rush Bike Only, but I found a glitch in earlier versions of MaGMML3 that allowed players to despawn Rush Bike before the mini-boss fight (without dying or taking damage). It seems that said glitch was fixed in later versions, but in any case, I'll leave the title as it it, just to make it clear that I'm _not_ exploiting that glitch during this run.

00:00 - Intro
01:25 - Bass, Wily Machine & Wily Walker (No Damage, Rush Coil Only, No Miss)
It’s easy to forget about Rush Coil when we have Rush Jet flying all over the place or when we are comfortable with platforming challenges; but our buddy is always there, just waiting for us to give him some attention, just a little “hi, buddy!”. Maybe next time, even if you’ve already mastered the game, just call Rush Coil to help you get some power-up or to cross a gap. You may not need that, but it means a ton to our doggo!
*About this challenge*
Here we’ll use the strong definition of “No Miss”: Every shot has to deal damage. It may sound redundant, but some broader definitions might allow one to shoot at Wily Walker’s legs to prevent it from getting closer (as such would still change the boss’s state somehow, so it’s not like they would be missing entirely).
However, for this video specifically, such shots are not allowed. Basically, we can shoot only 28 x 3 = 84 Rush-Coil-lemons¹, so every one of them has to deal damage.
¹ Actually, we need only 83 Rush-Coil-lemons, because when Bass is defeated he still has 1 HP left.
