With a lengthy goods on the drawbar, 92249 powers past above the low level station. First crossing the steel bridges and then the viaduct, the exhaust echoes off the terraced houses as the big 2-10-0 attacks the rising gradient and away into the distance, shattering the momentary calm in the town of Neville Grove.
The sound is actually taken from a recording of the regular 9F Lickey Banker giving a hefty shove at the back of a goods train departing Bromsgrove, then ascending the Lickey Incline. It was expertly recorded by Peter Handford in the early 1960’s but recently digitally remastered by Old Thundridge Records.
This also demonstrates the immense haulage capability of the @bachmanneurope 9F. I haven’t added any extra weight in this loco, yet it could still pull quite a few extra. How many wagons can you count on this train?
