Specifically, the effect they have on our behavior, and how they are used as a method of avoiding responsibility. In a similar vein to the difficulty video I made discussing the topic of difficulty in gaming as a whole (in the hardest games, "easy" games, and difficulty settings that bridge the gap), today's video will try to succintly address the value I find in losing yourself in gaming (in moderation. This is my brain on quarantine. Either this is the best video I've ever made or the most nonsense thing I uploaded to YouTube since my Overwatch rankings. Hopefully the former, but as long as it's entertaining, I'm a happy man. This is my third "video essay" style video. I beat them all in under 2 hours...with perhaps one exception. This is a tough speedrun because there is so much going on. I'm flabbergasted in hindsight at how many mini-bosses there are in Sekiro (and how much they repeat), but it was great to get this an the area ranking off my bucket list. This will be my final FromSoft video until Elden Ring news, but more likely until the actual release of Elden Ring and Demon's Souls Remake. Today I'm bringing you some Mortal Shell Beta gameplay and my thoughts on the experience. I've been excited for Mortal Shell since it was announced a few months back, and after playing the beta, I think it has high potential to be one of the best Souslike games we've seen yet. In fact, I would say of any Soulslike, it's probably the closest to a Dark Souls clone (in the best way possible). There's still a ton of unique aspects to the game that bring a fresh take to the formula. I hope you all enjoy the video!

While The Last of Us Part 2 is an enjoyable game to play on some levels, I have a lot of problems with the narrative. I took time to digest my thoughts after playing on release and have compiled them into my own explanation and analysis of The Last of Us 2 story. I really hope this inspires healthy discussion in the comments on what people like and don't like about the game.
