I am constantly filling knot holes and cracks in boards, using CA glue for jigs and small repairs, this list of uses is endless and when you combine the use with Starbond accelerator and get instant drying, it opens a whole new world of possibilities, for example as shown in the video making wood rasps that work in literally seconds, attaching securing bolt heads so they don't turn and more, for me they have become like another pair of hands in the workshop.

For me, stopping what I am doing to go back and find the correct bit for my drill is a waste of time, so I modified my method of using hook-and-loop to attach bits to the base and use the same technique to attach the bit change wrench on my cordless router; do you work alone in your shop like most of us? another pair of hands is as close as a hand-screw clamp and a 90-degree bracket for helping in dry fitting and assembling wood projects, and I finally found another use for speed squares (aside from a cutting guide for my circular saw) a guide for getting good quality 45-degree angle cuts easily. Lots of good hand tool woodworking tips for the weekend warrior!

I wanted something that would be easy to clean to help reduce the dust in my shop and where I could use plastic bags to reduce the clean-out dust which also adds to air-borne dust in my woodworking workshop.

The wheels I have almost ALWAYS "engage themselves" with just a small bit of movement because of the way they are designed. For me, a mobile workbench is a must to make room for my oscillating sander, wood router table, and sometimes my bandsaw all of which go into making tight, accurate wood joints and keeping the workshop flow moving ahead, so anything that interrupts that needs to get changed, like these wretched wheels.

All of the spalted wood I have used has spalted naturally, but it is always very similar in its look and I have long wanted to find spalting with a bit of color. Then one day I found a piece of a maple firewood log, with spalting on the inside and it was GREEN. With this green spalting, maybe I could create my own fungus culture to grow my own green spalted wood. But .. was it really green spalt that I found, I don't think so, It looks suspiciously like the green from oxidized copper ... maybe that's why my DIY spalting experiment failed. This was a perfect woodworking project for some of that spalted wood I found in the forest and was able to cut some small logs, into spalted boards and by using my drill press with a holes saw, my wood router to make a shallow pocket, and then my trim router to round over the edges I made several of these, and every time I head out for coffees I take this coffee cup carrier and WOW, does it get noticed by everyone at the coffee shop, so beware, if you make one, you may end up with others wanting one too. It even works great as a car cup holder and is one of those woodworking projects you can sell!

If you are looking for what is probably the strongest woodworking joint, you probably want to rely on the Lap Joint because it consists of half of each side of the joint kept together with woodworking glue and in every test I have ever done, the wood fails before the half lap joints. The next issue is when you are aligning your joints, how do you do that ... for example in making picture frames or rail and stile doors; that's where an Assembly Jig is perfect for aligning one corner, and if the rest of your pieces are cut correctly, they will just fall in place for gluing or pinning. Both jigs are easy to make and will give years of excellent service. These woodworking jigs are also great if you're new to woodworking and want to learn how to make half lap joints the easy way.
