Honestly… I did NOT expect this much love on my last Jaipur carousel 🥺❤️
The one where I shared “90% of tourists make these mistakes in Jaipur”…
But the number of DMs and comments I got asking:
“Archana, what is this Meenakari workshop?”
“Where is it?”
“Can we actually make jewellery ourselves?”
“Is it touristy or authentic?”

I visited the home-workshop of Jaswant Kumar Meenakar, whose family has been creating Meenakari jewellery for royal families for over 400+ years (yes, FOUR centuries 😭👑).
Here, you don’t just watch the craft…
you actually get to paint your own Meenakari pendant with your own hands — using traditional tools, colours, and techniques.
It’s slow. It’s calming. It’s beautiful.
And honestly?
This is the kind of souvenir that feels priceless… because you made it.
