first if you are anyone who knows me from portal discord/similar, i dont currently have access to my discord account because getting phone repaired which means 2fa fun. if you were in the vc where i built my new pc its working fine except the memory wont overclock(crashes and errors).
everyone else hi, i got a new pc so i can theoretically speedrun portal rtx as long as its stable enough.
currently the issues ive encountered are you cant load a save too many times (or maybe alt+tabbing too), otherwise it starts artifacting/going crazy idk what to call it exactly, fps gradually goes down as well and it becomes unplayable. sometimes it also happens randomly, but its only ever this game. DE with raytracing runs perfectly fine with no issues at all, so i imagine its just this game or an RTX remix issue(ive also had no other issues with artifacting or a similar bug at all since using the 4080).
the other one youll notice in the video (14:10), is broken glass appears as a solid colour (also emits its own light upon further inspection). ive been unable to find out if this is normal or not, because usually the glass breaks completely from the rocket hitting it so no videos ive found even break the glass the way i do (no bug posts i can find either). if anyone else has portal rtx then open console and type map escape_01, then check if the glass breaks the same way for you when it gets shot by the bullet turret, ty.
lastly if the quality looks bad then thats normal, i just rushed together an x264 profile in OBS so it wouldnt be taking the GPU away from the game. will try to adjust it to be better quality later on. oh also its 1080p with DLSS 3.0 performance mode so it probably looks worse than native even on youtube (no dlss3 frame gen, it causes input lag for me).")
