Furnace sega cd test Ygor G. 2022-06-21 | Well, i made a little short tune to test out the sega cd/fm towns system, wich was added on furnace quite a while ago. The only difference between the RF5C68 (Fm towns) and RF5C164 (Sega cd) is that the C68 has 10-bit output and the C164 has 16-bit output.

Fractal driver, is an new sound driver that's being developed for the sega genesis that has several features such as extended channel 3 mode, ssg-eg, dual pcm (wich is what i used on this cover), independent psg 3 & 4 channels (since originally channel 4 wich produces noise. used the pitch information from the psg channel 3 to get more pitches rather than A) and even CSM mode (wich is an speech synthesys method). It offers 5 extra wavetable channels. On the original scc, the same waveform was shared between channels 4 & 5, but later on the scc+ variant fixed that problem.
