Plus, a clean isolation of the TR-909 Bass Drum as well. One of these songs also featured more drums that seems to be from the same misterious source.Sonic 2 Sky Chase (Demo Version) Oscilloscope DeconstructionCollision Chaos Radio2023-06-19 | Demo song of Sonic 2 Sky Chase deconstructed/reconstructed with oscilloscope view. Recently, me and @NUKELEDGE discovered Sonic 2 demo songs were made mostly (if not fully) using a Yamaha SY99 keyboard, which made it possible to reconstruct the song.

I show how it's possible that the Sky Chase music was composed for a cut level, known as Rock Zone. I also tried to find connections between the Concept Art Pieces, Prototypes, and Interviews.

Since I don't know when I will back working on the project, I decided to post. This is mainly inspired by Sonic CD JP Quartz Quadrant present and is a mashup between Virtua Racing Deluxe Replay, Demonstration and a Burning Rangers song that I forget the name. All songs originally by Naofumi Hataya. You hear some wind sound effects because the level where it would play was very windy.Sonic CD JP Instrument Sources Part 1Collision Chaos Radio2021-09-06 | In this video I show various Sonic CD JP instruments and where they come from, as well a recreation of each one. I'm planning making more 2 or 3 parts. I don't know exactly when they will be ready, I like to transcribe everything as much accurate as I can, so is possible it will delay a little. I'd like to say a huge thanks to Nuclear for the Korg 01/W recordings. He is a musican and researcher who also does restorations, please check his awesome work: youtube.com/c/NUKELEDGE/videos twitter.com/Nuclear14242617

Almost every video, if not all, here in youtube with the unused audio loops from Sonic CD beta are VGM rips. IMO the original sounds from inside the ISO has much better quality so I have decided to post here it. Also, i know i have not been too active, and i will probably stay like that for a while :( sorry, what happened is: Recently the sonic 1 beta was found, and i got super excited with that! but one of the things that mostly makes happy, is that a labyrinth background recreation i was doing in 2019 was getting super accurate to it. I have a project called Sonic 2 Complete that consists on trying to restore all the levels, it made me feel very confident to finish this project so i'm currently focused on it! But it does not mean i will not post anything, if i get super inspired to make a new remix or something like that i will post.Sonic CD Stardust Speedway & Loves gonna get you mashupCollision Chaos Radio2020-12-25 | FINALLY FINISHED IT!! My most complex and creative work until now. For who don't know, Love's gonna get you is the original source of a sample that went into Zero G Datafile 2 and was sampled in Sonic CD Stardust Speedway Bad Future, so I get the idea of making a remix with both songs, I'm surprised to see no one has done it until now! Also, the art was done by huper123gui and TheEnigmaMachine, used here with authorization, you can check the original in DeviantArt.How I use Midomi to find sample originsCollision Chaos Radio2020-12-10 | In this video I show how I use Midomi website to find the origins of samples! I hope this can be useful for someone.Sonic CD - Metallic Madness Past RestoredCollision Chaos Radio2020-12-06 | OMG it took soo long for me to finish this! In fact, for years I have been trying to do higher quality version of MMZ past, but I was never completly satisfect DX one of the things I most like in the original is how the piano mixes up with the rhytm and fantasia, it gives a "spinning movement" that I really love! I'm satisfect with the result I got with this one, so the time I spent was worth ^^ I'm also considering in future releasing a new version, using samples for the piano chords instead of a chord sequence, and increasing a little the pitch so it will sounds more like the game version. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy, until now it was the most hard to do restoration! If you're interested in knowing where the sounds comes from, here's the list:
Acoustic piano - Roland D70
Electric piano - Roland JD 800
Orchestra hit at start - Korg M1
Orchestra hit at end - X-Static goldmine
Choir - X-Static Goldmine
Bass drum, cymbal, hat and snare at start - Roland TR-909 (I used samples from X-Static Goldmine)
Snare that plays at the end - I don't remember, this is the same snare from Stardust Speedway past and the boss/final boss remix from Sonic The Hedgehog Remix (1994). I have this snare, and what aparents to be some variations of it, but i can't remember where i get it from, some akai libraries I believe.
Fantasia - Roland JD 800 (I've recreated with JD 800 waveforms since I don't have a JD 800)
Organ: Korg Wavestation (but my recreation isn't perfect, is extremely hard to identify the notes used in the organ sample, since are too much and very fast, so I can be wrong, the organ can be from other synthesizer too, but it sounds very similar, i think there's a very considerable chance of being correct)
Bass drum at end - to be honest I could not find the exact same sample, so I replaced for a similar.
Bass - I could not find it :( So i remastered. I removed the noise and tried to recreate the higher frequencies that are losted.Sonic CD - Stardust Speedway Past RestoredCollision Chaos Radio2020-11-26 | Stardust Speedway Past in high quality! In other words: it sounds more like the in-game version and less like a CDDA version.Sonic CD Sample Pack + Some of its originsCollision Chaos Radio2020-11-14 | In this video I show various samples that were used in Sonic CD JP, where they come from, and some of it's origins! I was doing it with my BF which is a very talented ASM programmer. He was porting Ristar to Sega CD, while I would remix the songs to use as CDDA tracks. For mostly part, I was using Sonic CD JP and Nights Into Dreams as reference for the remixes, but trying to keep the essence of the songs, avoiding changing much. Unfortunately, my BF went into various personal troubles and was unable to finish it, so we end up cancelling the project :( But who knows, maybe one day we will finish it. I'd like to know what you all think about it.Sonic 2 8bit - Scrambled Egg Zone (Sonic CD Style Remix)Collision Chaos Radio2020-11-05 | This is a remix I done (in 2016 I think?) as a birthday gift for my friend MG4M3R. Oh, a curiosity: he is also the creator of my channel's name. I tried my best to make it sounds like Sonic CD JP. Also, for this remix I have used a MIDI I got from VGMusic website, but it was very faithful to the original. I have edited various things to make this remix. I'd also like to credit the MIDI's author, but since it was done various years ago I can't remember the author of the MIDI, I'm sorry :(Sonic CD - Quartz Quadrant (Past) Restored +60 centsCollision Chaos Radio2020-09-15 | Higher pitch.Sonic CD - Quartz Quadrant (Past) RestoredCollision Chaos Radio2020-09-15 | ...Sonic CD - Wacky Workbench (PAST) RestoredCollision Chaos Radio2020-09-12 | I think I did it 2016 or 2017, I plan to post a new version of it next year.Sonic CD - Palmtree Panic (Remix)Collision Chaos Radio2020-09-04 | A remix I did in 2016.Sonic CD Beta loops restoredCollision Chaos Radio2020-09-02 | Quartz Quadrant good, present and bad future, Palmtree Panic bad future, Tidal Tempest present, Stardust Speedway present, Metallic Madness present and bad futureSonic CD Good Future medley remixCollision Chaos Radio2020-09-02 | Collision Chaos, Quartz Quadrant and Stardust Speedway.Sonic CD - Palmtree Panic (Past) RestoredCollision Chaos Radio2020-09-02 | ...
