Hey besties! Guess who is on summer vacation now?!?! yes me!! Maddie! So I have been wanting to host a beach summer themed MEP for forever! so I’m doing it now! I absolutely LOVE Plvtinum’s music and this is like the one hit wonder’s most known song, anyways stream all of PLVTINUM’s songs!! over to the rules!!

rules:

1: Now this song is pretty explicit so no characters or celebrities under 18 can be used, this is simply because I am uncomfortable with seeing very young characters or people edited with songs like this. Now lots of characters' ages are vague so it's up to you what age you see them as if they do not have a canon age. example: I see Irida as early 20s given she is a couple of years older than protag in PLA who is stated to be 15 or older. Basically if they have a canon age under 18 don’t use the character.

2: it’s a multifandom MEP and you can use any style as long as you follow the theme but FX is encouraged. Use the color scheme provided.

3: Must have discord, I’ll make a discord server for the MEP, this way I can get updates, provide any other material and we can share resources.

4: render in wmv or MP4, 1080 and 25 frames per second. disassemble resample, you can take as many parts as you want to.

5: fandoms can be repeated as many times as wanted, it’s encouraged to use what you like editing with the most only fandoms not allowed is various toys (LPS, MLP ect)

6: if you edit ships, no incest ships please.

MaddieEdits 2024-04-26 | I know I am a few days late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIKACHU'S JUKEBOX I can't believe it's been two years since the PJ Family started. Though lots of us knew about each other or were already friends, but lots of us became friends or became closer friends through this studio.

I've had the time of my life with this wild gang of unhinged editors. We're all figuring out life together and I love how it's more than just a studio, we're a family there that supports and love each other. Though most of us are in our 20s or hell even 30s we are all still figuring life out and it is reasurring you're not alone in that feeling. From good adivce to enabling bad spending habits by getting yourself a little treat everytime you do something. The people in this studio is incredible.

PJ gang has really helped me improve my FX editing and I have found a new love for an editing style that I always wanted to be good at since I was a baby editor. I can tell I keep on improving by each part I do for PJ and well it feels amazing to see myself grow as an editor. Editing is such a huge part of my life. Every new mep push me to get better and I think it's showing.

did you guys miss me? okay probably not since I live in studio discord servers, shoutout to PJ gang! anyways this is something you rarely see from me a full on amv. Funny story actually this is a project I had to do for school, wild right? anywayyyyss the mission was simple; make something that shows what you can do for editing and well, I did this. Normally I'm a vegas editor and lean over to FX editing nowadays but this was done just in Premiere pro, it was a fun and stressful experience. My teachers liked my editing so that's a huge win for me!!

Editing improvement | 11 years of editing

MaddieEdits 2024-02-18 | Well, today it’s been 11 years since I started editing wild, right? I still can’t really wrap my head around it. 11 years is A LOT. A REALLY long time, I originally wasn’t going to make anything but randomly last year I remembered how I’ve edited some songs several times before so I decided why not compare them and that I did.

you can tell how the evolution has gone and how with every software change I took a step back but eventually I got better again and that’s what improvement is, right?
some of these are so painful to watch I almost considered not using them but hey not all edits will be good even if you’ve been editing for years.

God I can still remember making so many of these, I remember it all too well. Like the troublemaker kalosshipping part, I was watching some christmas show on netflix editing in my parents living room. the crossover ship makoto x kirino part was a 4 hour ic I made for no other reason than fuck it we ball. The Trigger warning: hetalia oh uh edits were for my friend Marty, she got me into editing WAY back in 2013 oh my god we were just babies back then and last year I met her in real life!! There are stories behind every edit you make and that’s incredible isn’t it?

so happy 11 years of editing to me, god I’m getting old. I’ve come a long way since I started in 2013, sadly I couldn’t find a song I used back then that I reused (other than the 10th anniversary remake) but I just did slideshows back then so it doesn’t really matter that much.

Iconic | Ashs Journey AMV

MaddieEdits 2023-03-24 | today it happens, Ash's journey ends and as I am typing this I am crying. Ash means the world to me. He's been by my side since 2001. He has always been there and now we are watching him leave. I originally started making this last year before Ash vs Leon but something within me told me to wait, call it a sixth sense or whatever but I somehow could feel I should wait. And that I did.

I wanted to show off all of Ash's journey and was struggling to find a song, I wanted something badass to show off Ash's evolution, but none of the songs fit what I was looking for and I had edited him using songs like Hall of fame and High hopes before. And as if Arceus heard my prayers simple plan dropped this song and when I listened to it and I just KNEW I found the song, I've found the song that describes Ash's journey to become the very best like no one ever was.

so to Ash: honestly thank you, there is a lot of things I could say. I could talk about how thanks to you I fell in love with animation, thanks to you I fell in love with pokemon, thanks to you I started editing and found people I love and something I love doing more than ANYTHING else. I could thank you for getting me into writing and story telling. But what I want to thank you for is being by my side all my life, yes I know you're just a fictional ten year old, but what you mean to me and milions all around the world IS real! You raised a generation of kids, you've impacted countless of lives. There are few characters that are even on your level as iconic and you reached this level of icon in the span of 25 years! you and pikachu did that. You were the poster child of the highest grossing franchise in the world, giving even iconic characters that has been around for decades longer than you a run for their money. I've seen the way they've treated your departure and it is fit for the king, no the champion you've become. I do have to say your alola victory will always be something I will always remember. I remember the day so well it was my 20th birthday and I watched it go down I remember crying and despite being in the midst of a very long depressive episode I knew this day would always mean the world to me. But as I am better than ever I am watching you go. You really kept me fighting on from 2016 to 2021 for that you will always be my brother. I remember november 3rd 2022 so well, I sat at school sneaking away from my responsibilites of the day. I sat in the lobby of my college snacking and watching the battle on my iphone 13 mini, rose gold of course. When I realized you had won I was in shock and had to fight myself not to scream out loud or cry, I can't be at my big age freaking out in public over a kids anime. There was a party that day and someone asked me if I was going but I said I couldn't. Quickly I left still in shock somehow I got to the boba place and ordered a drink to process what I had seen. So thank you Ash I will forever love you for everything you have done for me and millions around the world. I will miss you so much but I know it is only a matter of time until you come back, nothing can keep the champion down for too long

besties I am going to be real I have CRIED SO MUCH making this and just in general since we got the news Ash was retiring. I have filmed my reaction to this and another project a bunch of Ash stans and I worked on that caused so much emotonal damage I am considering therapy. You can see tears running down my face and hear in my voice I'm fucking losing it.

MaddieEdits 2023-02-18 | Ten years, ten years since my life changed forever and I didn’t even know it back then but such a small decision to upload a small video to youtube would lead me to where I am now uploading something 10 years ago on this very day I could only dream of making. Having found something I love so much, something that has been my lifeline and been the sole reason I have met so many incredible people from all over the world. I’m writing this holding back tears in my living room as the amv is rendering the day before the 10th anniversary filled with a kind of joy I cannot explain in words

I can remember around 2015 I said to myself, if I made it to ten years I would remake we are and today I realized that wish. I wondered what my life would’ve been like now since 2023 was such a long time to or at least that what I felt like at 15. and though I could’ve never guessed in a million years back then how my life would turn out as, for the good or the bad on this day 10 years ago I entered something I could call my home. I didn’t know this when I was 13, that day would become this important for me. but here I stand at 23 building my life back up after years of struggling with crippling anxiety and one hell of an emotional ride that we call life. I realized a while back the one constant in my life since 2013 was editing. people entered my life then left, souls I loved passed away, dreams came and went, a certain dream crashed and burned, mental health went straight to hell then got better, hyperfixations came and went, I changed and grew and faced challenges I never thought I’d face but editing was always there. The grind never stopped and slowly but surely I improved. By each year, each edit there were small changes, small improvements though I am not on the standard the community holds itself to, I can’t do crazy ass fx in after effects. I am still way better than I was back in 2013 using old faithful windows live movie maker. As I’m slowly exiting the community in the next few years I wouldn’t change a single thing in my journey as an editor this far. My journey is my journey and no one else.

I can remember the reason I made that first slideshow, it was to celebrate generation 6 of pokemon as pokemon has always been my one big love well now it has to share the spotlight with editing hahaha. Though the original, we are was made to celebrate the 6th generation, the reboot is to celebrate pokemon as a whole and editing. the people I’ve met here and my own journey.

MaddieEdits 2023-01-13 | heyyy besties I'm in my: time to look at all the wips and see what I should finish and what I need to kill off| era and I came across this old vent I started like a year ago that was unfinished and was like: hey why not just spend an hour finishing it and uplaod it? so I did that.

this vent was about my seizures and how I felt about them. it makes sense in my head okay? like serena is supposed to be the people who babied me and still do and Ash is me trying to remember who he was before the seizures started, when sm comes it is him starting to cope with them and jn is when he is over it. again this made way more sense in my mentally ill brain last year (though I literally added newer episodes in it for the last few scenes)

Editing honestly saved my life, it has always been there for me every up and down I knew there was something I could use as my outlet. I go through phases a lot and I thought editing was a phase but nine years going on ten years in and yeah this isnt a phase. Its a passion that burns so brightly it is honestly an obsession. Sometime last year I had a huge mental breakdown that led to me going through my entire life and I saw one thing that felt like home losing myself was what I needed to see what I love doing the most.

We’re nearing the end of my career here on YouTube as in a few years I will have to move on to something permanent where I can use this passion for a living, so before that I wanted to celebrate this huge milestone

by some fucking miracle I did this in a day. I had planned to make something for pearlshipping day and thought “I still got time” then it hit me “ITS TOMORROW OH SHIT!!” thus I ran to my laptop, opened sv and got to work with no fucking inspro. in a panic I watched my earlier works and stumbled upon a random mep part I did 8 fucking years ago, and thought “hey what if I remade this to prove to myself I have improved since I began?” and that I did. Im still here | Neurodivergence awareness month

Normally I don’t upload short mep parts like this but I had to make an exception as these are very personal to me, for those who do not know april is neurodivergent awareness month and I’m neurodivergent, to be more specific I have ADHD (and epliespy) all my life ADHD has been there, I still remember all the ableism I experienced as a child, the years of figuring out how to live with this and how my experience shaped me. Everything I went through is a part of me, hell ADHD is probably the biggest part of me. To make this even more special to me, I hosted the mep for my found family Empteam. The leaders trusted me to do this and my friends joined, I was shocked how fast it filled up and as the parts rolled in I couldn’t help but cry seeing it all come together.

I can't lie, I cried a lot editing my parts. Especially my backup part 11. Ash was the one who got me through my diagnosis process, he helped me cope. Hell pokemon helped me cope, that’s why it means so much to me now. If you know me you know pokemon is like the only thing I talk about. Seeing Ash with traits I have that was associated with ADHD made me feel powerful, like I could pull through this and despite my ups and downs over the years I think I did just that. I found my true passion, I found ways to work with my ADHD, I found people who care for me, I inspired others and most importantly I accepted my ADHD. Other people might not see it, but it’s there. I’m still here and despite everything I have learned to love my ADHD for all its ups and downs.

so to every neurodivergent person out there, know there isn’t anything wrong with you, there is something wrong with the society we grew up in.

Happy 9th anniversary to me and happy 9th year of friendship to Kyu and I! 9 years ago Kyu encouraged me to upload my very first amv and that was the start of a whole new world for me! I have been driving myself crazy thinking what I was going to do for nine whole years of editing, originally this was a 5th year anniversary of Kyu and I being “married” but I realized the PERFECT time to upload this is THE 9th anniversary! how perfect isn’t it to upload a video dedicated to the person who changed your life on the day of your journey not only as an editor but the journey with your friend? to say this amv has driven me crazy is an UNDERSTATEMENT! from figuring out the story I wanted to tell and how the hell I was going to do it. holy shit I did it!! I remade uh oh!

I wanted to portray a long distance relationship,you can decide if it is a friendship or a romantic one. Being long distance is difficult as life is always in the way, the distance and time zones are a pain in the ass when you just want to go on adventures together. That's what Romano is dealing with here, wanting to reach out to Prussia but not being able to. Eventually they both reach out and Romano comes over to visit prussia. The amv ends with them hanging out together in real life and having the time of their lives!

I also have updated the outro using one of my favorite song! originally I was going to make a whole new oc, which is done but some technical difficulities has made it difficult to transfer the model over, as of now we’ll use the drawing made by an old friend of mine I’ve used for the last 4 years!

I've had this amv on my mind for a year and after a lot of thinking I decided to do it. this is a very personal amv for me about my constant blame and guilt for, anything really. I suffer from a lot of self-hatered, always have and always will. I don't think a day has gone by the last several years without me blaming myself for something even if I didn't do anything. I felt like Adora was the perfect match for this amv as I relate a lot to her and the song fits here a lot. a lot of things have happened in my life the last couple of years that has been out of my control and moving on from that is difficult.

so if you also hate yourself, blame yourself for everything, know that not everything is your fault. blaming yourself for things that was out of your control won't fix what happened. be kinder to yourself, because at the end of the day you are the one who will always be there for you.

this is the second amv of a long series of vents as I am trying to heal from everything that has ever happened to me. this is my self care and therapy I guess. I hope I protrayed my emotions well in this amv.

MaddieEdits 2021-02-18 | hi friends! today is the 8th anniversary, but I decided to do a little vent edit as a filler before the actual 8th anniversary edit. maybe I should go over to the details: during the summer I lost both my dog and rabbit, in the span of 2 months both my best friends died. so you can imagine how bad my mental health have been, I've been in some DARK places which I thought I was over after certain events from 2016. covid on top of that hasn't helped. so what the hell have I been doing trying to heal? well, firstly I took up fostering cats. my first foster cat practically saved me, she got adopted in desember, I love you and miss you Vio. my second foster cats, my litter of kittens and mom cat is ready soon for adoption. so by march I'll have my third foster cat. I started working out since my health also took a toll during 2020. I started working on my national dex for pokemon home, started taking college a bit more seriously (lets overlook the fact I am doing this instead of doing an assignment) and most importantly started going to therapy which according to my therapist I should've done years ago. I'm trying to focus on myself and work towards being happy, it's been far too long since I felt happy. I think I am slowly returning to the one I once was. hell I know this edit is bad but I still decided to do it. just like prior to 2016 I really enjoyed editing, I think my passion is coming back to me.

to everyone who read this long essay, take care of yourself. as you are the only one who truthly know you and will always be there for you.

I hope you like my little edit for you :3 I took a long time figuring out what to use, since your list of songs and ships was so good. I know you wanted something cute, but I spent days trying to figure out what to use for sugar rush. then I gave up and went through your list again, then I noticed friends and inspiration hit me! I decided to go with the theme: friends to lovers with angst. all the characters I used had a focus on their friendship, canon or not their friendship had a meaning to their story. I thought that idea would be kinda cute, but with angst.

Editing evolution 7 years (2013-2020)

MaddieEdits 2020-02-18 | seven years have come and gone, I have been editing all this time. I've grown as an editor and as a person during this time. now I am 20 years old, I started at 13. to put it in prespective, I was in middle school when I started and now I am about to start buisness school, yes I am going to college! I will be studying Markeding, which is funny, since part of editing is markedting! we make thumbnails, chose songs, fandoms ect to appeal to our main demographics. which is markeding! who've known I'd start studying something I have done since I was a teenager? It is kinda ironic actually, I am going to do something I love. this evolution is long, but keep this in mind. I have over an hour worth of mep parts I have made, an hour worth of amvs too. I cut it down as much as I could, picking what edits I wanted to use. It was a lot of fun making this. going through ALL my mep parts (which I could track down) and putting them together. I hope you all can see the improvement of my editing over the years.

this video is dedicated to everyone who have ever supported me, thank you for your friendship, love and support. I wouldn't be the editor and person I am today. People say online friends aren't real friends, people say our hobby is a waste of time and what we have isn't real. But, that is far from the truth.
