When Meghana Aduri began learning Carnatic music from a remote teacher during the pandemic, she didn’t just hear melodies—she witnessed how her blind instructor was thriving, quietly overcoming barriers. Barriers to education, to opportunity, to dreams. And that moved her to act.
💙What started as recording a few audio textbooks on her phone became Vision Beyond Sight, a nonprofit Meghana founded at just 14 years old. Since then, she’s helped convert more than 140,000 pages of educational material into accessible formats, raised over $50,000 for assistive devices, and launched a college scholarship program for students who are visually impaired and overlooked.
