RC Cola "It's A Wonderful Life" VHS Offer (In my days of browsing through VHS tapes at thrift stores, this particular version of "It's A Wonderful Life" is extremely common, almost like finding Combat for Atari 2600. This was when the movie was considered to be in the public domain and anybody with a film print could sell and distribute their own VHS version. The film had become public domain after Republic Pictures failed to renew the copyright in 1974 and quickly became a staple of local TV stations. After the 1990 Supreme Court Case Stewart v. Abend en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stewart_v._Abend which involved the ownership of derivative works stemming from copyrighted material, Republic Pictures reclaimed ownership of the movie and demanded royalties...as they still owned the copyright to "The Greatest Gift"...the original short story that the film was based on as well as the film's original musical score)
