The Global Village is separated into pavilions of over 70 different cultures from all around the world, each pavilion showcasing arts and crafts, food, and entertainment of its specific region or country. The Global Village offers cultural shows, artisanal products, exotic foods, bustling bazaars, over 200 restaurants and eateries, a carnival, and even a floating market!
Stay in an Aquarium
If you stay at the Atlantis Hotel you can choose to stay in the Underwater suite, which offers an underwater bedroom with a king-size bed and an underwater ensuite both submerged in the Ambassador Lagoon Aquarium, with floor to ceiling windows giving a view of the 65,000 marine animals within. It also has an upstairs lounge with views of the aquariums water lapping against its windows and a private butler, on-call, whenever you want.
Robot Jockey Camel Race.
Camel races are a big thing in Dubai and traditionally the jockeys were young children, in order to put a stop to abusive child labor they now use remote-controlled robot jockeys, that, in addition to being lightweight, can be controlled remotely and told to whip the camel when necessary. The camel racing season runs between October and April and competitions take place in the early morning on Fridays and Saturdays.
World's Biggest Flower Garden
It may seem odd that the world's biggest flower garden is in the desert but hey, this is Dubai! The Dubai Miracle Garden is home to over 150 million flowers and because it's in Dubai, it couldn't just be normal, no, this 775,000sqft park is full of flower sculptures, heart-shaped archways, floral houses and castles, Disney characters, the floating lady and an Airbus A380!
Watch A Movie In 6D
Visit the Thrill Zone Entertainment center and you don't just get a Jurassic Park themed 3000 sqft Laser Tag arena or a Party Zone cafeteria, you can also watch a film in 6D. This 4 seater cinema combines high-definition 3D movies, high-quality 3D sound, environmental elements such as wind, fog, and rain, and motorized chair movements to make you forget that you aren't really there, in a similar way to how Dubai makes you forget you are actually in the desert.
Bathe in Goat's Milk
If adrenaline isn't really your thing and you'd prefer to feel like Cleopatra, then visit the Talise Ottoman Spa, over 88,000sqft of luxury facilities include Turkish Hammam, Snow rooms, Thalassotherapy pools, multiple massage and beauty treatments. You can also get a private suite where you can enjoy a lavish bath in goat's milk before receiving a Lava shell massage or a caviar facial.
Polo on a Camel.
The sentence "After bathing in goat's milk you can go and play polo on a camel" is definitely the strangest thing I've ever said, but once again, in Dubai, it is totally possible. Arabian Spirit offers lots of different experiences but perhaps none as rare and unique as Camel polo. This activity lasts half a day and is available for groups of 8 to 60 people. After lessons on the rules of the game and a practical training session, you'll be given a mallet and away you go!
X-line
Okay, so zip lines aren't exclusive to Dubai but the X-line is the longest urban zip line in the world and definitely worth a mention. Situated in the Dubai Marina, the launch platform is 558ft high, and two people can race at the same time down the 3280ft line reaching speeds of up to 50mph!
