A lot of hand embroidery involves stitching lines. There are different types of lines that can be used.

Most lines fit into one of these categories:
- thin and smooth
- thin and textured
- thick and smooth
- thick and textured

Within these groups there are multiple stitches that can be used.

CORRECTION: In the video, I demonstrate a stitch and call it "alternating chain stitch". It should actually be called "double chain stitch".

In this video, I give suggestions for different stitches in each category and demonstrate eight very different hand stitched lines. Have fun experimenting and finding the stitches that give you the result you want.
