In this video, I’m sharing 8 creative camera movements you can do with the DJI Pocket 3 to make your footage feel way more cinematic. Whether you’re shooting a solo travel vlog or a short film, these handheld moves are simple, repeatable, and perfect for adding motion and energy to your shots. We filmed this at the abandoned Taman Festival in Bali, Indonesia, an epic location to test out these techniques with some friends.
📸 Camera Moves Covered:
• Close-Up Tracking Shot – Get personal with your subject while keeping the environment in play
• Following Shot with Depth – Use background blur and framing for that cinematic, pro look
• Low Push-In Reveal – Add drama or surprise with an upward tilt from the ground
• Fake Drone Shot – No drone? No problem. Here’s how to fake it
• Orbit Shot – Circle your subject for dynamic motion (harder than it looks!)
• Video Game Shot – Follow from behind for an immersive third-person feel
• Side Slide Shot – A simple left-to-right glide that adds motion without complexity
• Spin Shot – Using Pocket 3’s Spin Shot mode to create a trippy, eye-catching rotation
