I am personally making a stand against these people for two reasons: 1. As I want to show people that if you cannot afford to pay such a large fine, they have no authority to use force to gain entry into your house or take your property. This, therefore, removes a large part of the fear when it comes to bailiffs calling at your home.and2. Chandlers, like many other bailiff companies or Enforcement Agents, as they now like to be known, threaten people with the use of force to recover the debt. They do this by claiming that they may apply for a Warrant of Entry, quoting Paragraph 15(1) of Schedule 12 Tribunals Courts and Enforcement Act.This part of the ACT is not for Parking Tickets, it is for Unpaid Criminal Court Fines, Businesses, Income tax arrears, Stamp Duty. That's it!So 'Chandlers' is committing Fraud Through False Representation.
