Ambient Iridium & Argon8x // Mirrors Tefty & Meems 2023-02-21 | In this track Meems laid down the foundation with her vocals first over an A minor drone pad. Afterwards, her performance was split into phrases and then imported into the @WaldorfMusicChannel Iridium. We crafted a custom granular vocal patch using all the phrases from Meems performance mapped across the keyboard. Then a pad like patch was crafted using a wavetable derived from one of Meems vocal phrases. The pad performance changed harmony around in the key of A minor. MPC Synthpop jam with hardware synths Tefty & Meems 2024-03-28 | Sharing a synthpop jam! This time using the MPC LIve 2 controlling the Pro3, Model D, Cobalt8, Summit, PolyBrute, and Modwave. All the instruments and vocals were recorded into Ableton Live. Meems recorded vocals a couple weeks after Tefty recorded the instrumental. Meems wrote lyrics and melody to the instrumental beforehand. During the mix the Model D and Pro 3 got extra distortion in Ableton Live, so the filter sweeps are not as apparent in the mix as they are in the video.Wanna support the channel beyond a like, sub, comment? Ambient Korg Wavestate into MPC audio tracks Tefty & Meems 2023-11-24 | Sharing a quick ambient electronic track we did a few months ago. Three passes of the @KorgOfficial Wavestate into an @WeAreElektron Analog Heat FX. The three Wavestate passes were recorded into the @Akai_Pro MPC One Plus via the audio tracks. Definitely a different approach then what we usually do with the MPC.Meems vox was recorded into Ableton Live a few days later. Everything was mixed in Ableton as well. We took sounds from the MPC plugins (OPx4 etc) and recorded them into the Make Noise Morphagene. That set the sonic bed. We also recently put together a @behringer System 100 with BRAINS and it was the first jam with that rig. The Hydrasynth Explorer was played live, but earlier was used as the midi controller to write parts for this jam.The bass was the AIR Mini D. We mapped an @AkaiProVideo LPD8 controller so the cutoff of the Mini D could be controlled easily without switching off the "mute" page. Also used Flavor Pro on the drums and mapped the LPF and HPF of that plugin to knobs on the LPD8.Everything was multitracked into Ableton for a quick mix. All one take though.Fun setup! With inspiration from @RedMeansRecording , we took sounds from the MPC plugins (OPx4 etc) and recorded them into the Make Noise Morphagene. That set the sonic bed. We also recently put together a @behringer System 100 with BRAINS and it was the first jam with that rig. Arturia MiniFreak first session (Synthpop) Tefty & Meems 2022-12-21 | Welcome back! This is our first session with the @ArturiaOfficial MiniFreak. Just used presets as a launching point. We had this sample from the other night from Pigments that served as a back drop (Meems had written a melody to it earlier) so we worked off of it. Used the Syntakt for drums initially. During the mix used Overbridge to multitrack the drums and then layer in additional hits to beef up the drum buss.More MiniFreak stuff to come! We started writing these songs in August 2022. Meems wrote 10 beats on the MPC Live 2, Tefty wrote 10 beats in Ableton. We pruned the selection down to 10 and that's what became this album. 90% of the synth sounds came from the Cobalt5s. The other sounds were a few Hydrasynth and Peak patches to fill out parts. The @SingularSoundOfficial Aeros Loop Studio captured the Cobalt/Hypnosis output and looped a couple synth textures. The Aeros output was fed into the @NovationTV Circuit Rhythm which was controlling master clock and adding tribal drums/textures. The Circuit output was finally fed into the @HologramElectronics Microcosm (which was clocked to the Circuit for time effects) before hitting Ableton Live as a stereo recording. Synth Saturdays! Ambient Jam with the Korg Modwave, Aeros Loop Studio & Microcosm Tefty & Meems 2022-09-24 | Really enjoying the @Korg Modwave so far. This is our first jam with the synth. Per usual, an ambient looped experience. Using the trusty @Singular Sound Aeros Loop Studio to first capture an arp patch, followed by textured wavetable sounds. The Aeros is chained to the @Hologram Electronics Microcosm which is blended towards the end of the jam for a beautiful transition.
