Last weekend Dream Con took over Warehouse Live Midtown for four nights. 🎮🎭
Here are the numbers:
Thursday — 1,154 people / $30,000 bar
Friday — 1,000 people / $25,000 bar
Saturday — 497 people / $8,475 bar
Sunday — 428 people / $9,721 bar
Total — 3,051 people. $73,196 in bar revenue.
Our best weekend of the year.
And we didn't take ticket risk on three of the four nights.
Three nights were straight rentals. The promoter takes the ticket risk. We collect the venue fee and bar revenue regardless.
Saturday — different promoter. Different deal structure. Half the numbers of last year. Same venue. Same weekend. Completely different result.
The Dream Con crowd drinks premium. Don Julio. Casamigos. Espolon. $14 specialty cocktails were our biggest seller.
Sunday was supposed to end at 10pm. Bar numbers were strong. We extended until midnight. Everyone was happy.
The rental strategy isn't about giving up on live entertainment.
It's about knowing when to take risk and when to let someone else take it for you.
Houston showed up. And then some. 🙏🏽
