Out for a rip in the 1972 Datsun 240Z! This car is a real barn find!

Here is the story of how my Uncle came into possession of the Z...
My cousin was out hunting and happened to spot the car in an open-walled barn out in a field. Naturally, he went and asked the land owner about the car. Turns out she didn't really know anything about it (or Z cars for that matter), except that her sister had bought it brand new, but had passed away many years ago and she had inherited the car. Unfortunately she had no intention of driving the car and it just sat out in that field for the past 23 years, -40C winters and all! But she was willing to sell the 240Z for only $750 if someone would trailer it off her land. That's were my Uncle came in, who had recently gained an appreciation for classic Z cars through my Dad and I. He brought the car home and put about $200 worth of parts into it, and took the car to a shop for a good tune-up. That's all it took to get it back on the roads driving reliably again!! All 6 cylinders still have perfect compression, and there is only about 30k miles on the car (unless if the odometer turned over). The Z still needs new shocks, exhaust and the body/paint is in rough condition, but the L24 and 4-Speed feel amazing! The heart of a true sports car is still there. Even the gauges and electrical are good to go! My Uncle plans to do a full restoration of the car someday.
