In this video, we do a head to head MPG test with the 6th Gen Toyota 4Runner vs the 5th Gen 4Runner it replaces. We traveled close to 700 miles on this test to from Florida to Texas and the results were shocking. We had some decent head winds, rain and other factors as well which turbo charged platforms don't really love. However, the 6th Gen 4Runner with the i-Force powertrain just powered through it, where the old 4.0L V6 of the 5th Gen struggled to maintain highway speeds.
